It was nice to be picked... - It was nice to be picked up by a guide and a small tour bus. We didn’t have to worry about driving the narrow windy roads through the mountains.. The stop was perfect for a bathroom and refreshment break on the way to the beach and the lunch break after the beach was perfect. The beach was so beautiful with soft sand and nice warm and shallow water. Too bad we didn’t see much pink sand. We arrived about 10 min before crowds of people came so we were able to rent two sun beds and umbrella. It would’ve been too hot if they weren’t available. Really enjoyed the beach. Thought it was much nicer than Balos beach

Breathtaking Pink Sand Beach - Wonderful tour guide, Carolina, and exceptional bus driver. Amazing how we navigated to such a beautiful pink beach over the mountainous terrain. Definitely recommend this tour. Delicious food in Elos on the way back too.

Great guide, good bus. Elafonissi and Elos always deliver. - Guiden had good information all the way, and rotated elegantly between English, German, Rwandan and Polish, without it being felt messy. Clear messages about meeting place and departure. The new parking system at Elafonissi makes the trip downstairs tough for sick knees. But it's beautiful. Lunch stops in taverns in Elos is an experience in itself.

Perfect beach day - This was a wonderful way to get to Elafonisi Beach without having to rent a car or pay for a taxi. The bus was comfortable and air conditioned, the driver was skilled (especially around the tight mountain corners) and the guide was helpful and friendly. The stop in the village for lunch was perfect and the food was excellent. As for the beach, I cannot say how perfect, pristine, clean and gorgeous it is. This is the perfect tour to Elafonisi if you don’t want to spend an entire day at the beach. Make sure to buy or bring an umbrella as the chairs go fast and there are not enough of them in proportion to people. Also wear comfy-ish shoes to walk to the beach (about 1/2 mile est.) in the gravel. There are grocery stores leading from to the beach and snack shacks on the beach if you need more water or food.

Elafonisi Day Trip: Beautiful Beach, Agia Sofia & Elos Village Flavors - Beautiful trip to Elafonisi Beach …. pink sand, clear turquoise water, and plenty of time to swim and wander. The stop at Agia Sofia, a small cave monastery in the mountains, was a great surprise. We finished in Elos Village with amazing, truly authentic Greek food. Comfortable ride, great pacing. Highly recommended.

The ease of the tour.. - Our guide was excellent and the driver was skilled. The restaurant we stopped at was good and our guide was hands down knowledgeable and well spoken. The only downfall (and why Thai trip did not get 5 stars) was that we were expecting a pink beach but were surprised when there was not any pink. Apparently it would have been if we went in May but since we were there after the touristy time, the coral from the south that influences the “pink” of the sand was not longer. Overall, we are happy we did not rent a car and took the tour

Beautiful beach - The beach was really beautiful and we both enjoyed swimming at the ocean. Only negative thing was that the photos online about the pink sand are edited to look more beautiful than in person.

Disappointed but checked the box - The experience overall was meh. I was excited to see the pink sand and there is none. Its all brown sand. The pictures you see of the beach are big time deceiving. The place is jammed with tourists as well. The chairs sell out by 10am. Our bus broke down and we had to wait for a new one at some trinkets and honey location which wasted more time getting to the beach. If you dont bring your own chair, towel, and umbrella you are SOL. The tour guide and the bus driver were very nice at least The stop at the town for lunch is a waste. There is nothing to see there. I feel it was just another money making opportunity on tourists. This 100% could have been half a day tour. This was a one and done experience wouldn't do it again.. if you need to go to check mark the box then fine but dont go with high expectations, there are better beaches on the island to visit.

Bad driver but beautiful beach - The beach is not “pink” but it is amazingly beautiful. I’m not really a beach person, but absolutely loved it! Our tour guide, Carolina, was so nice and everything ran smoothly. Our driver, Yanis, should not be allowed on the roads. The center line in the road was evidently optional and he crossed it frequently, almost running over a bicyclist and scaring a few pedestrians. He showed extremely poor judgment and tried to pass small cars on the winding mountain roads, even when there was no real benefit. At one point he drove between two small cars, passing the one on the right despite the oncoming traffic! The bus company was Karakakis and they should fire him. Carolina didn’t say anything to him, so evidently he is always like this. The drive to the beach wasn’t bad and he successfully drove through the small tunnel, but he was in a hurry the whole way back. He was a danger to us and others on the road.

Elafonisi Beach tour - The bus ride was very long as the beach was pretty far away. We got there around 11am along with so many other large tour groups that there were no sunbeds or umbrellas left so we were stuck in the full sun for almost 4 hours! Theres no shade in the area unless we hung out in the small snack shop. You can buy the small beach umbrellas but they don't stand up in the sand so people were just tossing them aside. While the water is, indeed clear and beautiful, it's only about 2 feet deep as far as the eye can see so you can't swim in it cause it's too shallow.
