• Elos - The traditional village of Elos is located 60 km south-west of Chania Town, on the way to the Monastery of Chrissoskalitissa and the wonderful beach of Elafonissi.
  Elos is a small village with few stone houses where its inhabitants are mostly engaged in agriculture cattle breeding. The village is surrounded by lush greenery, olive groves and plane trees.

Elafonissi is a small island situated so near the shore that visitors can easily walk there from the beach. The pristine, turquoise shallow waters combined with the fine white and coral-red sand create a breathtakingly beautiful landscape! The journey to Elafonissi is sure to be rewarding! Elafonissi is a Natura 2000 protected area, featuring sand dunes adorned with sea daffodils and junipers. The island provides a sanctuary for the endangered loggerhead sea turtle and many other rare animals and plants. It is strictly prohibited to remove any plants, animals, shells, or sand from the area.
