Depart from Rethymno around 07:45 and travel by bus along the new national road towards Crete’s westernmost tip. Pass by the bay of Souda and the former Cretan capital, Chania, before arriving in Kissamos. Then, enjoy a 20-minute boat ride to Gramvousa Island, where you can take a memorable swim in the crystal-clear waters. For those feeling adventurous, there’s an optional 137-meter climb to the 16th-century Venetian Fortress, offering an unparalleled view of the surroundings.
• Balos Lagoon - Upon arrival at the lagoon, you will have approximately 3 hours to enjoy. After swimming and relaxing at the lagoon, the boat will return you directly to the port of Kissamos. You can return to the boat anytime for food or rent umbrellas if the sun is too strong. After enjoying a swim and relaxation at the lagoon, the boat will take you back to the port of Kissamos. This is a perfect photo opportunity as the sun will be behind you, highlighting the island’s scenery.

At 6:00 PM, the ferry arrives at the port, concluding the journey in this small paradise. The return time to Chania is approximately 7:00 PM.

Starting Wednesday, June 21st, and for a limited time, ships will not be able to disembark at Balos Lagoon. The cruise schedule will be as follows: a 2-hour and 15-minute stay in Gramvousa and about a 2-hour stop for open swimming at Balos Beach.
