Learned great stories and history. - Duggar was probably the best tour guide we have ever experienced. Usually my husband tends to wander off, not really listening, but not this time.! Duggar is a great communicator, with great interesting stories. My husband n I were enthralled the whole time! He never wandered away once! We learned a lot. Thank you! 🥰

Beautiful, fun, and engaging! - The hidden alleyway tour was an amazing way to experience the real charm of Charleston beyond the usual tourist attractions. Winding through cobblestone paths, ivy covered walls, and tucked away corners that felt frozen in time, this tour was a highlight of my trip. What made it even more exceptional was our tour guide Duggar. From the moment we met him, he was warm, personable, and completely engaging. Taking time to know each and every member of the group set him apart from all other tour guides! It was more like exploring the city with a passionate local friend than following a standard tour. Duggar had a natural gift of storytelling, weaving together Charleston’s complex history with vivid details, humor, and respect for the city’s cultural depth. Each alley came with its own story and it was impossible to not be drawn in. This wasn’t just a tour but a journey into the soul Charleston and a part of the city too often overlooked. Thank you Duggar for an unforgettable experience!

A Charleston Gem – Bruce’s Alleys & Hidden Passages Tour - My wife and I had the absolute pleasure of joining Bruce for the Lowcountry Walking Tour of Charleston’s Alleys and Hidden Passages, and we are extremely grateful that he was our guide. His deep knowledge of Charleston, combined with the perspective of someone who grew up here, made the experience both personal and unforgettable. Walking with Bruce felt a little like walking with a local celebrity—he seemed to know someone on nearly every corner! That connection to the community gave us a sense of pride just to be part of his tour. Beyond the fascinating history, Bruce granted us access to courtyards and gardens that the average tourist would never see, which made the experience feel truly special and exclusive. If you want a tour that goes beyond surface-level history and gives you an insider’s look at Charleston’s hidden beauty, we cannot recommend Bruce highly enough. This was easily one of the highlights of our time in Charleston.

Coach Duggar and the walking tour of hidden alleyways…awesome! - “Coach” was the best tour guide in my history of visiting Charleston! Hands down the most personable and down to earth guy and so cool with the amount of history presented and hidden gems of the city. Will always recommend and come back. Thank you for the great experience.

So pleased we did this walk. - Our guide Bruce was excellent, having lived in Charleston all of his life, he knew not only the areas but most of the residence. He took us along some delightful roads and alleyways. The walk also included some of the more popular tourist attractions such as Rainbow Row. Bruce was able to give us a lot of history during the walk. We were extremely lucky to have nice cool weather and we were the only ones on the walk!

A tour not to be missed - What a great tour! Bruce, our guide, grew up in the neighborhood and had extensive personal as well as general history and architectural insights into the streets we were walking and buildings we were looking at.

Mark’s walking tour was worth braving the heat - My friend and I visited Charleston during the worst heat wave in years. But we didn’t want the heat to stop us from seeing and learning about Charleston history. Mark Jones is a very experienced and knowledgeable guide. He pointed out things that may not have been noted by other guides. And he found all the shady spots to give the group breaks from the heat. I would recommend this tour.
