Amazing History Tour - This is a very thoughtful and thorough history tour through the old city. Nice small group of 10 to 12 so it is easy to hear. As a history buff with a PHD in History our guide was well versed in the history of Charleston from its inception to present day. Highly recommend.

Fascinating Walking Tour of Charleston - We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Charleston with Eric. He is an extremely knowledgeable and interesting guide. We walked all over the city in a small group and learned a lot about the history, architecture, and culture of Charleston. We visited many important historical sites and explored some beautiful neighborhoods. Eric had fascinating stories and a notebook of historical pictures to share with us. He gave us recommendations for places to visit and good restaurants for lunch after our tour. We have experienced many city tours all over the world and this was one of the best ever. We highly recommend Eric Lager!

Fantastic afternoon with Eric - I don’t typically give out 5 star ratings. I reserve them. Eric earned this one. I can’t comprehend how he can keep all these stories and dates in his head ! Very entertaining, accommodating, went out of his way to ask about our backgrounds and experiences - not to impress, but he’s a naturally curious historian ! Fantastic tour !

Perfect way to spend an afternoon! - Just outstanding! Learned so much about so many historical aspects of Charleston, which is so much more historically significant than we realized. The three hours flew by. Well done!

Learned so much! - I am so happy that our trip to Charleston included a tour with Eric. He’s a wealth of knowledge, sharing in a way easy to regurgitate details to friends from early settlers, to different time periods, architectural details and city shaping people and decisions. Thank you for bringing Charleston alive through the ages.

Hands on history - Our tour of Charleston with Eric was perfect for our history loving family! We brought our daughters and parents— everyone loved seeing the city and hearing about the history that lives there. Our youngest was especially excited to hear the different details of George Washington’s visit since she is learning about the Revolution in school. Eric is both knowledgeable and very personable! He checked in on us and built a nice break into the middle of the tour. He knows where all of the best places are to stop and tell a story about a building and his history. You can tell he must be a favorite teacher at the Citadel! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to get the most out of their trip to Charleston!
