Best in a long time. - One of the very best walking tours, and we have done a lot. Edgar is knowledgeable, kind, funny, full of interesting stories, interested in you, and happy to go off subject to discuss anything. Make the 3 hours to join him if you posdibly can. Small groups as well. 20 people is too many, and Edgar keeps it to 12.

Excellent value on many levels! - First, Eric was highly knowledgeable and he wove together the historical significance of various events, people, and structures. He was captivating! I greatly appreciated the size of our group…he limited his tours to 12, which allows for a more intimate atmosphere and interpersonal interactions. He makes it a point get to know each guest on the tour which was lovely. When we were done, Eric felt like a friend. I considered a number of tours, but I chose this one due to his academic credentials and group size…and very glad I did!!! The price was an added bonus!

Best Walking Tour for Charleston, SC - This is a must do tour when in Charleston. It is jammed with history and facts you will enjoy by a Historian Professor. Pick this tour it’s a small group environment no more than 12 people. Eric is very personable, engaging, and a great storyteller as he brings the facts and receipts to the truth telling of the events to the history of the city of Charleston. Best spent 3 hours of our time.

Understandably the highest rated tour in Charleston! - Just finished an historical walking tour with Eric. Our group was small - 10 people - and were told he never books more than 12. He engaged with each of us on a personal level. His mastery of Charleston history was impressive, well beyond what you would pick up in a tour book. The one splurge my wife and I afford ourselves on vacation is the retention of a private tour guide, and this small group tour rivaled any private tour we've taken.

Highly recommend this small friendly tour - Excellent introduction to local history here. Eric is so knowledgeable & made the tour a friendly interactive experience. Just the right amount of walking with a quick break in the middle too & a max group size of 12. He offered further recommendations & tips too. Couldn't recommend more.
