Excellent way to experience Charleston - This history and food tour was the favorite part of my family’s visit to Charleston. My husband and college teens enjoyed learning about the history of Charleston and the architecture, people and food that make it so unique and wonderful. Chef was full of information and dad jokes which made it fun. The meal at the end of the tour was amazing! Highly recommend this tour!

Outstanding walking tour and meal - funny and passionate chef as our guide! - Chef Forrest’s walking tour was 2 hrs of interesting perspectives on the history and culture of the city - and on what has shaped the local food. Much more fun than a typical city walking tour! We then arrived at a small restaurant - and he prepared a delicious lunch…a fantastic soup (perfect for the drizzling windy weather we’d had in the morning) and the more wonderful shrimp and grits I’ve ever had! Each course was paired with great wines - and he served us a delicious dessert (blueberry/lemon soufflé…with an official name that I can’t remember) with lemon curd and fresh strawberries! So refreshing and delicious! Do this tour - you won’t regret it! My husband said it was his favorite thing we did on our 5 day visit!

WOW - Undiscovered Charleston - “SHRIMP & GRITS” … Who know that this simple dish could have such an impact. Undiscovered Charleston is the most interesting and informative tour I have ever been on. Chef Forest Parker took us on a journey of food , architecture, and culture, and how it all permeated and influenced the heart of Charleston. Highly recommended and I will definitely book the tour again. Cheers!

A Transformative Feast of Flavor, History, and Heart - Chef Forest’s Foodie Tour is an absolute must-do for any traveler—hands down one of the best culinary tour experiences I’ve ever had! Chef Forest, a true chef-scholar with a Charlestonian heart, led our small group through an unforgettable journey of local flavors, history, and insider stories, all delivered with hilarious wit and genuine warmth that made us feel like family. We savored perfectly prepared dishes—from fresh, farm-to-table bites to wine pairings he expertly curated—each one bursting with authenticity and his personal touch, while he shared profound insights into the culture behind the cuisine. The intimate setting, seamless service, and his warm, engaging presence elevated this beyond a typical tour into something transformative and joyful. Don’t miss this gem- perfect for foodies or those interested in the history of Charlestonian cuisine.

Chef Walking Tour n Lunch - You will do plenty of walking. At least a couple hours worth. Chef points out areas of interest and small details in the city. It is followed by a great lunch. My travel group of friends could not stop talking about this meal. Once we had this, we held other similar items to this standard. Like the shrimp n grits. No other place came close to his. Amazingly good.
