Kay is the absolute best guide! - Kay is the # 1 tour guide in Charleston. We had an absolutely great tour with her. She is incredibly knowledgeable and clearly makes her tour personalized to the group. We learned so much and had such a wonderful tour with her.

Great small group tour! - Kay was a wonderful tour guide who kept us engaged, entertained, and learning the entire time! She was responsive to questions, and wanted to know what each of us wanted to get out of the tour. Kay knows EVERYONE, and provided little tidbits about day to day life in Charleston, as well. We even bumped into her at Boone Plantation the next day, and she made a point of saying hello and pointing us in the direction of can’t miss things to see and do there. She went above and beyond!!

She does not simply list facts but connects them into a bigger picture, which provides a better sense of what the time period was like. She has many visual aids on hand—photos and maps carried in her bag—that she uses to aid in explanation and add emphasis and context. This overall strategy is very effective, with impeccable pacing, clear milestones, and thoughtful emphasis. The tour design and route can be adapted based on feedback from the group about their particular interests. The tour had a firm hold on our attention throughout, and we totally lost track of time. The route was meticulously planned for participant comfort; Kay made sure we almost always stayed out of the sun, especially when we stopped at landmark sites. Kay projects a remarkable personality that fits with the tour's content and the old city atmosphere. Her humor is elegant, nuanced, and non-intrusive. Her manner of carrying herself subtly aligns with the historical characters from her stories. She fits the role of a tour guide seemingly effortlessly and organically on many levels, as both a master planner and a presenter with a matching personality.

Amazing Experience - My wife and I had the pleasure of having Kay as our tour guide. She was very nice, and was very knowledgeable about Charleston’s history, architecture and culture.
