Absolutely Outstanding – Walking With Jane Is So Much More Than a Tour! - This food walking tour was truly a 5-star experience from start to finish. Jane, our guide, clearly loves this community—and it loves her right back. As you stroll through the streets, you’ll hear locals calling out warm greetings to her, a testament to the deep connections she’s built over time. That spirit of authenticity and kindness flows through the entire tour.
The food stops were outstanding—each place bursting with flavor and local charm. From the comforting elderberry tea to the fiery “hot mango” sauce, every bite and sip was a treat. We were especially impressed with Kim at St. John’s Brewers, whose mixology skills added a unique twist to the afternoon.
Jane’s storytelling elevated the experience, weaving together history, culture, and personal anecdotes that made the tour come alive. The route itself is very accessible—no hills or difficult terrain—making it perfect for people of all abilities.
This wasn’t just a food tour. It was an immersion in community, culture, and connection. We’ve been on many tours before, but this one stands out for its heart and depth. Highly, highly recommended!

Great tour in Charlotte Amalie! - Gerard from Boston was our guide through several excellent eateries from mid-sized to nearly hidden ones (loved the ‘sign blew off in the hurricane place!) with great pieces of local history thrown in for good measure. Thanks for the additional recommendations as well!

Great food and great tour - Our tour guide, Jane, was fantastic. She's very knowledgeable about the cultural and architectural history of St. Thomas and was very friendly - getting to know us a little during the down times. The sites on the tour were very interesting and the food was amazing! Would highly recommend.

Rain or shine! In our... - Rain or shine! In our case, heavy rain at first. I brought an umbrella but it wasn’t big enough for two. Jane shared hers with my husband. Parking would have been a problem if rain hadn’t kept many tourists away. We were spoiled by being the only two on the tour. Recommend booking when the cruise ships aren’t in the harbor. (You can see their schedules on
Line) Jane was lovely. She shared interesting history, answered our questions and took us to three spots. Sarah’s mushroom soup was divine. I usually take food tours at the beginning of our vacation to reveal good eating places but this a perfect ending before we caught our outbound flight.

I don't recommend - I personally didn't think this tour was worth it. We walked about 3 miles and went to maybe 4 places. The tour guide was bland with information. I would have preferred to spend my $100 elsewhere, honestly. She started us off with dessert, because the place closed at 2, so be mindful of the times you book. There was a couple places she mentioned she couldn't take us, so I don't think we got the full tour. Make sure, if you do go you wear comfortable shoes. It is rain or shine, so be mindful if you're trying not to mess those shoes up.

Worst excursion ever - The food selections were absolutely pathetic. A Bad empanada at one stop, a tiny slice of quiche at another, collard greens and a tiny fritter. And then a root beer float. That’s it. 4 stops, and no history tour. Our guide was impatient, rushed us along, and then he simply left at the last stop and was gone. No goodbye, no pitch for a tip. He just left. This was, without a doubt, the worst excursion I have ever experienced or heard of. We deserve a full refund.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - No call, no show by tour operator. Sounds like this may be common, so buyer beware. Very disappointing. Requesting refund and have called operator.

DON’t do it - book this trip week before my arrival in St. Thomas was so looking forward to it had my friends book it as well when we finally went on our date and time there was nobody there. It was a horrifying experience to think I spent $100 for each person and TripAdvisor drop the ball and forgot it was carnival.! I cannot believe this carnival is such a big thing in St. Thomas. How could they have forgotten and never contacted us that there would be no trip that day ! then trying to find out who to reach to find an answer was anybody gonna show up was ridiculous. There was no one to contact directly that could help us and it was very frustrating. Wasted almost whole day waiting for this person spent money to get a cab to go down to Fort Christiansen for absolutely nothing. I would not recommend anyone book this trip. They said they were going to reimburse me however, I still have not received my money terrible way of doing business. They had no problem taking my money out but returning it seems to be an issue.

Vendor did not answer phone when called. Viator unable to refund or reschedule trip. $200 wasted with nothing but wasted time and frustrated arguwuth my wife
