Flavor walking tour of St. Thomas - Sabrina was pleasant, knowledgeable, and made our tour fun. Being local, she knew so much history. She also gave us great recommendations for things to do and places to eat

Don't hesitate, books. You won't be disappointed - We've been to St Thomas before and were looking for a different way to get acquainted. This sage was very nice and tasty. You will take a walk off the beaten track through Charlotte Amalie in a small group and visit various restaurants and get to know tasty dishes and drinks. Meanwhile, the guide will tell you all kinds of facts about this beautiful island and its history.

Well worth the price - Not only was the food and drink experience fantastic, the history tour discussion was interesting. Our tour guide, Sabrina, clearly loves her job. She was great.

Disappointing and lackluster food experience - Rocky, our guide, was charismatic, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about St. Thomas. He brought great energy to the tour and was the highlight of the experience. That said, the tour itself was unfortunately underwhelming, especially for something marketed as a culinary experience. I expected a deep dive into the local cuisine—its origins, ingredients, and cultural relevance—but there was almost no discussion about the food we ate. The first 45 minutes were spent walking through the town, hearing about churches and the aftermath of past hurricanes. While I deeply respect the resilience of the local community and appreciate hearing about their experiences, it didn’t feel like an appropriate use of time on a food-focused tour. The first food stop featured curry chicken, which was actually quite tasty. However, the portion was tiny: just two pieces (a drum and a wing), a small slice of grilled plantain, and a forgettable scoop of rice. There was no explanation of the dish’s significance or how it tied into the island’s food heritage. It felt like we were just given a plate of food and left to figure it out ourselves. After that, we went to a local bar where we were told we’d be making a Painkiller cocktail. To our surprise, we literally passed around a martini shaker and made the drinks ourselves. It felt more like a DIY activity than a curated tasting experience. Alongside the drink, we were served two small fried items—possibly fritters, but no one told us what they were. Again, no explanation, no insight into what we were eating or drinking. Next was a visit to a dessert shop, where we were given an ultra-mini chocolate muffin and a piece of baklava—without any context as to why those items were selected or how they relate to the island's culinary traditions. Why baklava? No one could say. The final stop was a gift shop, where we sampled three local rums—each less than a teaspoon—before being encouraged to browse and buy products. It felt more like a sales stop than a tasting. In the end, the tour lacked depth, authenticity, and any real connection to the culinary identity of St. Thomas. It seemed like a collection of loosely related tourist activities rather than a thoughtful food tour. Despite Rocky’s best efforts, I walked away feeling misled and unsatisfied.

They canceled on me - They canceled my tour the evening before. I had booked it 3 weeks prior. I'm waiting on my refund. When I was signing up for another one of their tours it wouldn't allow me to, cuz I'm a single. This tour allowed me to book. Alas, they canceled it even after they sent me my voucher a few hours earlier.
