- Peake’s Wharf - The first stop will be at Peake’s Restaurant & Bar to sample mussels with a sauce made of white wine, cream, onions, celery, herbs, and butter. During the tasting, information about mussels will be shared.
- Province House National Historic Site - The conversation will then shift to Province House, focusing on the 1864 Charlottetown Conference, which discussed the formation of a new country.
- Water Prince Corner Shop - The next culinary stop is at Water Prince Corner Shop, renowned as one of the best restaurants in Charlottetown and PEI. Here, a sample of a lobster roll and potato salad will be offered, along with insights into PEI’s potato farming and lobster industries. *Please note, this stop may be conducted picnic/take-out style due to the restaurant’s size and busyness.
- Lobster On The Wharf Restaurant - The final stop is at Lobster on the Wharf, located on the waterfront near the tour’s starting point.
The visit begins at the Lobster Pound to learn about lobsters, with an opportunity to take a photo with a lobster if desired.
After the Lobster Pound, the tour proceeds to the restaurant side, where the PEI oyster industry and the history of prohibition on PEI will be discussed. Participants will be “shucked in” by shucking an oyster and taking a shot of PEI alcohol or beer (water or soft drinks are also available). Photos or videos of the oyster shucking can be taken, and participants will receive an official “Islander Certificate” upon completion.
