Fabulous food tour with Jojo from Withlocals - We took a 3 hour, 5 tastings food tour and Jojo is everything you would want in a tour guide! She was very accommodating to our limited time schedule (even picked us up in our hotel), selected places and food items that matched our dietary needs and gave us the opportunity to try things we would not have known to eat on our own. We went to Chinatown and experienced local Thai and Chinese influenced street foods, beverages and sweets. We walked through many small neighborhoods and she explained the history and culture. It was a very active and delicious afternoon.
Jojo is friendly and knowledgeable and so much fun to be with. We would definitely recommend her!!

Beyond Amazing! - We just finished our food tour with With Locals, guided by the incredible Sam – and it was beyond AMAZING! We were blown away right from the very first food stall he took us to. It was a hidden gem: a tiny local restaurant with no English menu and no English-speaking staff – we would’ve had no idea what to order on our own. But Sam took care of everything. He ordered a variety of dishes and explained every bite in detail – not just the flavors, but the cultural stories behind them.
From there, each stop just kept getting better. Sam truly set the bar high from the start and kept delivering one amazing experience after another. After sampling several delicious local dishes, he took us to Or Tor Kor Market using Tuktuk! 😊 He guided us through the market, sharing fascinating insights along the way. We eventually sat down, and Sam ordered several incredible dishes for us to try. The mango sticky rice here was on another level – so different from what we’ve had in Melbourne.
Every dish was a highlight, and Sam himself made the experience unforgettable. He’s friendly, knowledgeable, speaks fluent English, and was fantastic with our kids.
Today’s experience was truly beyond words. We’re so grateful to Sam and With Locals for this unforgettable tour. 100% recommended!

Great evening exploring Chinatown - Apicha took us on a food tasting tour of the Chinatown market and was an excellent guide! He not only guided us to safe vendors, he also explained a lot about the Thai culture. We finished with a dinner in a very local restaurant which was amazing and definitely not something we could have found on our own. I only wish I had a bigger stomach!!

Great food tour - We thoroughly enjoyed our food tour with Ms Araya. She was very friendly and explained a lot about the food and the area. We tried some things we would have never known about and made some wonderful discoveries. Highly recommend!

Great tour - Araya was a wonderful guide. We were a bit late because of traffic and she didn’t give us a hard time over it, as others might have. She brought us to plenty of different restaurants and food stalls while giving us local history facts. She also gave the leftover food we didn’t want to homeless folks nearby. Araya is an incredibly sweet person and a great embodiment of the ‘Land of Smiles.’ 10/10 experience, would highly recommend.

Amusing and educateable tour with Sammy - Sammy showed us the local street food both on the pavement of a busy neighbourhood as well as at the market. Good food, learning about the food and culture.

Fantastic street food tour - Jojo was wonderful! She took us on a street food tour and customised it on the fly to suit the tastes of our 8 year old, while still giving us some seriously delicious food. Jojo was energetic, enthusiastic and extremely knowledgeable. We had a fantastic time.

A food tour with a friend - The special thing about the tour with Nat was that he showed us the markets and the food stalls like his friends. We learned a lot, laughed, ate - digestible even for sensitive European stomachs.
Nat is very relaxed, friendly to everyone, competent. We can highly recommend him!

Superb local-market food tour with charming host - Araya chose two fascinating food markets, including famous Or Tor Kor market (considered one of the best in the world). She toured us around, explaining, offering little tastes of fruits and snacks. Lots of insight into Thai food culture and life in Bangkok. At the end of the walk through much of the market, she said, “Now, please pick six foods that caught your fancy, and I’ll go get them for you.” Tough to choose, but we managed! Araya’s tour was calm, beautiful and tasty. Very highly recommended

Average Market Navigation Assistance and expensive - Unfortunately I would not recommend this tour for this money.
We were looking for a tour on Monday, and this was one of the few available options, which was a plus.
We arrived later in the evening, and our guide, Jojo, was very flexible in accommodating an evening tour, which was a really nice touch.
She accompanied us to the market, answering our questions thoroughly whenever we had them, although she didn’t offer much commentary on her own.
The market she chose was a temple anniversary celebration, which was a nice find. Once inside, she guided us to several food stands and explained the dishes we would try. The experience was supposed to last two hours, but it felt like the first hour—traveling to the market—was counted as part of the tour which was not clear at the beginning.
While the tour was helpful, in my opinion, it was quite expensive for what it offered.
