Just the right distance with beautiful scenery along the way! - Beautiful hike! Just the right distance and intensity, with an awesome waterfall and a fresh-squeezed glass of orange juice at the end. We went in late March so the water was very brisk; it was a quick in and out for us. But well worth the effort and a great half day adventure, with a fresh loaf of local bread on the drive home!

Fantastic hike and views! - We had a very nice adventurous trip with our guide. He is so friendly and gives a lot of info about the region en his own life. He did a special hike with our son who likes the adventure very much. Fantastic views!

Amazing experience - We had an awesome experience with Mohamed in this Akchour tour. His kindness and enthusiasm is unique. It was an out of time day filled with nature, adventure and amazing landscapes. We'll never forget about it and I REALLY recommend it !!

Beautiful hike with a wonderful guide - During a city tour of Chefchaouen with Mohamed, I mentioned that I also wanted to see the waterfalls in Akchour on one of my other days of my 3-day stay in town. He mentioned that he guides tours there as well and that he would be available during the next days, and I immediately jumped on board with that idea. After a few hours in the city with him, I had no doubt in my mind that visiting God’s Bridge and the Akchour Waterfalls with Mohamed would be so much better than just doing it by myself, and I was absolutely right. On the morning of the tour, Mohammed met me again at my hotel, and we started to drive off towards Akchour through some amazing landscapes and scenery with comments about the areas and how he himself uses the area during his own personal free time (e.g. running). Arriving in Akchour, we first started to head towards God’s Bridge followed by the Akchour Cascades. The scenery is absolutely fantastic, walking through the gorges right next to the rivers, having dozens and dozens of restaurants and cafes along the way offering some refreshments to hikers. The path to God’s Bridge has a few small portions where you have to potentially walk on wet and slippery rocks, so be sure to wear appropriate shoes, but the part along the Akchour cascades is without such obstacles. In summer, many of the water pools along the river are used for a swim by hikers to cool down, but when we were there, Mohamed was the only one brave enough to jump into the chilly waters (it was winter, February) for a proper swim. I definitely am extremely happy to have booked Mohamed for a second tour. Even more so, I also booked him for a third trip on day three, as I was totally enthralled getting to spend time with Mohamed on these fantastic excursions.

A magical day in the mountains - We had booked Mohamed for the city tour and told him how we wanted to see Akchour but were concerned about the hiking because I am healing from a broken leg. He said “no problem” and reworked his schedule so he could take us that very afternoon! I’m so glad we got to go after all!!! We took our time walking the trail along the cascades and had a lovely afternoon enjoying the views with a delicious tagine by the side of the river. We dipped our feet in the icy water and fed our leftovers to a big black cat. On the drive back, Mohamed stopped and bought a loaf of bread from a woman baking in a clay oven on the side of the road and this was easily the best bread I had in Morocco! It was whole grain and tasted like mountain earth and wood and fire! Yum! Really a fantastic day with a wonderful guide. Later he invited us out for drinks at a nearby bar and it really felt like we were hanging out with a friend. Thanks for the great time, Mohamed! Chefchouen is a magical city and we appreciate you sharing it with us! ❤️🙏

Trek to the bridge of god - We went this trek with Mohamed. It was an awsome experience. He was attentive to our pace and did everything for our experience to be unforgettable. A must around Chefchaouen.

A fantastic day in Akchour ❤️ - I had this amazing trip in October with my family. Akchour is a lovely, wild, unspoilt place. We had a pleasant walk, not at all strenuous, we swam and ate a great tajine. All this in the company of our wonderful guide, Mohamed who did everything possible to make us feel good and live this day to the fullest.
