A Magical trip to Morocco! - Mohamed Yassin El Ouahabi, the General Manager of Chefchaouen Adventures, was absolutely accommodating in every aspect of planning this trip. He was reachable on WhatsApp and answered all of my questions, and made suggestions for things I didn't know to ask. My boss and his family said that they had a fabulous time and that the trip was superb. When I reached out to Chefchaoen Adventures, they arranged RT transportation from Tangiers to Chefchaouen, as well as arranged a tour to the waterfalls and God's Bridge of Akchour, and restaurant reservations. My boss said that his particular driver, Youssef, was excellent, and an amazing guide. If you want 1st Class service and an amazing trip in Morrocco, please check out Chefchaouen Adventures.

Beautiful, fun and informative experience - I had an incredible experience with Youseff! He immediately makes you feel like family. He stopped for me to take in the views even on the way to the park and worked hard to get some great photos of me, something he did throughout the entire trip. We were the first ones at the park and it was gorgeous. The hike to god’s bridge was not too difficult, and Youseff always made sure to keep at my pace and help me where needed. We also had our own personal entourage of dogs 🙂 we saw monkeys multiple times! Which is not guaranteed, but we got very lucky. We only went to the “small” waterfall because the large one was dried up at the time, but I had an incredible time and couldn’t be happier. The meal we had there was honestly probably the best I had in all of Morocco. Youseff was a wealth of knowledge about the plants, the area, the cultures and a people. I really enjoyed learning so much from this trip and exploring everything. I would 100% recommend Youseff as your guide in Akchour, he’s has a great personality, is funny, knowledgeable and helpful. He very much cares about the experience that you have and wants you to be happy. Also thank you to Hassan and Ahmed who drove us to and from 🙂 shukran akhi

Magical trip✨ - Me and my family&friends had so much fun in Akchour. We enjoyed the magical view from the mountains! My mom had the time of her life in there and it’s all because of the hospitality and kindness of Mouhamed, he was making sure that my mom was safe walking up and down the mountain. He helped her a lot when there was a big heel, he also made sure that the group was walking in a good speed so we don’t get separated. Thank you so much Mouhamed we loved every single moment in akchour🫶

Great tour with Monkeys, waterfalls, soup - An excellent tour with Youseff. We actually weren’t that interested in the waterfalls, we just wanted to explore the Rief mountains. Once Youseff understood that we were interested in monkeys and learning about the local plants and seeing great views, he pointed those things out more. We saw so many monkeys on this trip! Do be aware there are street dogs that will follow the group. Some are vaccinated against rabies, some are not. Do not engage with them as they do snap. Our guide had to chase them away at one point. There was a lot of rain, so the streams were very full. There are 5+ stream crossings which are challenging if are not prepared for them. The water was about 0.85m deep in some places with very uneven rocky stream bed. If you go in summer it won’t be a problem. We called it quits once the water reached my mid-thighs because the current was quick and the water freezing. The air temperature was 6 degrees Celsius. Youseff did try to pressure us into finishing the hike multiple times, and while his enthusiasm was great, if travelers don’t feel safe or start to feel uncomfortable, please listen to them the FIRST time they insist to head back early. My mother is on the older side and one slip into cold water would not have been good. We were cold, so we finished the hike with some excellent soup by the river. I recommend this tour, but maybe not in winter and definitely not when it’s raining. We did a total of about 5.5 miles.

The views were amazing... - The views were amazing but it is strenuous walk. Our guide Zachir was very good and did his best to cater to the varying abilities in the group.

Highly irresponsible and uninformative guide - I would absolutely NOT recommend Chefchaouen Adventures or this hiking trip based on the guide they provided. When we began our moderate/strenuous hike, our guide Zaka said we would take it slowly, but then allowed the two other guests, very fast hikers, to set the pace and raced ahead with them. Although I am not extremely slow, I was always scrambling to catch up. I told him I needed a slower pace, but either he did not understand or did not care. We went to God's Bridge first and arrived at Akchour Falls at 1:20 - Zaka told us we would have lunch in about 30 minutes. At that point the other two hikers wanted to keep hiking and told Zaka they would go off on their own and take a cab back to Chefchaouen. Zaka left with them - I thought he was going to direct them to the trail to continue. Instead he accompanied them on their hike and left me there for an hour and a half with no explanation of where he was going, when he would be back, no food was served, and I was shivering waiting in the cold. The three of them returned at 3:05. I told him I was very upset that he left for so long with no explanation and he got defensive and claimed he was only gone for 40 minutes - absolutely false. At that point I had been sitting in the cold for almost 2 hours and I told him I just wanted to go back and not stay for lunch. The other two hikers said they were fine leaving as well. Zaka refused to leave – presumably because he wanted to make sure we bought lunch. We were not shown a menu and were served the most expensive item. We were served lunch at 3:20, two hours after arriving at the falls (which were completely underwhelming). He continued to charge ahead with the fast hikers on the way back down. He was so far ahead that if I had slipped on any of the rocks and loose gravel on the trail in my haste to keep up he wouldn’t have known. His behavior was highly irresponsible and even potentially dangerous. He also did not share any information with us about the areas we were hiking through. From the trip description: “Take your time to soak in the peaceful atmosphere and capture photographs. Your guide will share captivating stories and insights about the region.” I felt like I was thoroughly rushed and did not have time to stop and take photos along the way. I learned nothing from the guide about the area we were hiking through. I would give this trip zero stars if possible.
