A good time! - An interesting and mildly spooky tour of the Mackenzie King estate. It was a hot and humid evening, but the event was fun and stories were expertly delivered. Kind to supply bug spray for attendees who may have forgotten. We also witnessed a young deer, plenty of fireflies and a few bats.

A walk to remember - This was an excellent tour; great way to get into the Halloween spirit. It was well researched, Covid safe, and definitely spooky :) It was such a treat to be able to walk around the grounds of the MacKenzie King Estate in the dark while listening to the guide tell fascinating stories of Canada's 10th Prime Minister. A tour I would highly recommend this tour.

Chose the perfect night for a haunted walk. - Only 20 mins from downtown Ottawa the estate was easy to find with gps. We had perfect weather. No wind or rain or bugs. Cool fall night with clear skies & bright moon. A full moon would have been a spooky treat. The guide was friendly & knowledgable. We had plenty of time to view the buildings & artifacts. Our group was smaller & quieter. That added to the atmosphere. You don’t want people laughing & carrying on etc. Loved the ghost stories. Be sure to dress for the weather with comfortable shoes.

Interesting but not frightening - It was a beautiful visit, but more historic than frightening. Mood was perfect: in the dark forest, lots of fog and lanterns! As we wanted to be afraid, we were a little disappointed. However, if you want to learn more about Mackenzie King in an Unusual Mood, you will be served!

Bad experience made worse by terrible customer service - We were so excited for this experience for my friend’s birthday. Haunted Walk warned us of road closures ahead of time and we followed the map provided to us. When we got about 1KM from our destination, a new road closure had occurred and there was no way to get there. There were 5-7 cars worth of people trying to get in and also calling customer service. As we were in the middle of Gatineau Park, phone service has super spotty but we did manage to get a hold of customer service, who assured us that they were aware and someone was on their way. It took a long time (at least 40 minutes), but the NCC eventually did come to open to gates for us..... But we missed ur tour and Haunted Walk would only accommodate our group in an hour and a half’s time. They would not budge on this and the representative at the meeting spot was uncompromising and condescending as if her tour’s gates being closed was somehow our fault. When I asked if there was another option to sitting in a parking lot for an hour and a half, I was told I MIGHT be able to get a refund. MIGHT. I ended up getting one with little apology and no opportunity to make up for the drive to get there, the wait in the Forest in the dark and then the completely missed experience. So disappointing.
