During the hike, you’ll encounter numerous watchtowers and barrier towers, observing the contrast between the renovated and wild sections. You’ll also catch a distant view of the Simatai Great Wall section. The walk starts at the East Five-Eye Tower and continues up to the ruined towers, with a moderate difficulty level. Along the route, you’ll pass several notable towers: Black Tower, Lesser Jinshan Tower, and Big Jinshan Tower.

Great trip to a more remote part of the Great Wall - Great trip to a more remote part of the great wall. Our guide James was very knowledgeable and shared interesting facts about the great wall. Nice local food included. Highly recommended.

An amazing day on the Great Wall - We had an amazing day on the Great Wall in Jinshaling with Henry! Pickup was timely and the 2.5 hr transport was so comfortable I fell asleep both ways. Time spent on the wall was glorious and challenging, definitely need to be able to do steep inclines vertically. Henry was very knowledgeable, humorous, and spirited. Plus the food after the hike was so yummy! I highly recommend a tour with Henry and this tour company.

Wonderful Great Wall experience with tour guide Angel. - Our family had a lovely afternoon with tour guide Angel. Our day started with a morning pick up at our hotel. We visited the wall on New Years Day, so it was unusually quiet. We literally had the whole wall to ourselves. It was incredible! The hike has a lot of steep steps, so be sure to wear good hiking shoes. Angel walked at our pace, and interjected with bits about the history of the wall along the way. She also made suggestions of perfect vantage points to take photos. After our hike we had a delicious fresh cooked meal with Angel and our driver at a local small restaurant. My husband is a chef, and was impressed with the food, especially the eggplant dish. One of the travelers in our group is a pescatarian and two meat eaters. I let Angel know ahead of time, and there was plenty to eat for all. We feel so lucky to have experienced the wall without the crowds of tourists. Worth the extra bit of a drive, and fee for a private driver and guide. A++++ experience! Highly recommend!

Amazing tour with guide Angel - We had a perfect day with tour guide Angel. We were visiting New Year’s Day in the morning, so we lucked out and pretty much had the wall to ourselves! Angel was very friendly and knowledgeable. She added lovely stories and history to our tour. And pointed out perfect spots for photos. We also had a delicious meal afterwards. My husband is a chef and he was so inspired! Especially the eggplant dish. Angel was a special guide and we feel so lucky that we booked this tour. It is an experience my family will never forget!! Thank you Angel!

Great Wall Tour - Justin was very friendly and made the journey enjoyable.
He was informative with the Great Wall tour and didnt hesitate to take photos and giving us all the time we needed to get around unrushed.

The Great Wall: worth all the steps. - Great day tour to the Great Wall and Gubei water town. Our guide Justin was very nice and helpful and had great historic knowledge. He gave us a lot of details and explanation and was very patient while we took 1000 photos :)
Also we got a very confortable van and a great driver.

Greatwall and Water Town Experience - Justin (our guide) and our driver were both kind and friendly. The travel between this section of the great wall felt short as our guide exchanged talks and stories with us in a clean and comfortable ride. Helpful and informative, and was always allowing us to have our moments with the surroundings in silence. Great trip overall.

Magical day at the Great Wall. - The most remarkable day in Jenshaling! I had the very best time with Edward. He was courteous and double-checked my hotel location before our tour - and provided tips to make the day perfect. He suggested good and warm clothes ( it’s winter ) and water ( it’s very remote so absolutely plan ahead ). He picked me up promptly and gave me a good history lesson the ride out to the entry point. I even got a nap in the car! ( he’s such a smooth driver). Everything was easy for the ticket purchase and the entry. We got to the park and had the place to ourselves! I didn’t see a tourist for 60 minutes. Edward suggested a path for us to see both sides of the entry point to see different views. He gave history lessons and also walked along at my pace so I could soak it in and experience it. I never felt rushed. Edward made sure that it was my experience and that I enjoyed it.
I cannot recommend Edward enough! He is fantastic.
This location is also so special. If you can make the 2.5 hours out of the center of Beijing - the sights are stunning.
