- Giant Panda Breeding Research Base (Xiongmao Jidi) - Your tour starts at 8:00am, when your guide and driver pick you up at the lobby of your hotel. You will first visit the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda, as the pandas are very active in the morning. There you will see lovely furry giant pandas of all ages eating and playing with each other….
- Giant Panda Breeding Research Base (Xiongmao Jidi) - Your tour starts at 8:00am, when your guide and driver pick you up at the lobby of your hotel. You will first visit the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda, as the pandas are very active in the morning. There you will see lovely furry giant pandas of all ages eating and playing with each other. You will also have a chance to see the very cute baby pandas, as well as documents and pictures showing how these little pink mouse-size animals grow into giant white and black chubby pandas of over 220 lbs (100kg).
- Kuanzhai Alley - You will then proceed to Broad and Narrow Alleys. It is really fun to stroll along the ancient street lined with many old houses and some newly-built ones with a traditional style. You will have your lunch here (own expense), and you can ask for your guide’s advice on where to eat.
- Jinsha Site Museum - After lunch, your day trip continues with a visit to the famous Jinsha Site Museum. In the museum you will see many precious ivory, gold and jade products which are thousands of years old. Follow your guide and listen carefully to the interesting stories. You can also see many everyday products made of stone, pottery, bronze and ivory, from which you will learn the daily life of people of 3,000 years ago.
From there, you will be returned to your hotel where your tour concludes.

The Panda sanctuary in Chengdu is amazing. Negotiating it is not easy as it is really vast but Charles and Birdy helped out enor - A fantastic day spent in the company of ultra professional and charming Charles Huang and his divine assistant Birdy. Both went to great lengths to ensure our day was successfully enjoyed by all. I cannot praise them enough. They were model professionals.

Pandas and Pagodas with real personality and professionalism - Charles, his colleague Birdie and our driver were all excellent. We had a fantastic day and they provided amazing support to one of our group who had medical issues. They made sure we made the most of every site visited and provided exhaustive and historical information with enthusiasm and in a lively and interesting way. They really made us want to come back to Chengdu

Chengdu with Connie, great experience! - We had the best 2 days in Chengdu with Connie! She brought us to our beloved Pandas, and then across the city, teaching us Mahjong and having a nice tea with the local people, amazing! Her english is great, really enjoyable days with an amazing guide!

Chengdu - Connie’s Trip - Connie was our excellent guide in Chengdu, had a full day exploring the city from pandas to tea house, every where we went she was very knowledgeable about Modern (Panda facts + city life) and historical (tea etiquette + dynasty facts) information in Chengdu, she spoke great English and Mandarin. She went the extra mile for us and was always positive and patient. I would recommend her to anyone visiting.

An Unforgettable Chengdu Experience with the Best Guide, Joy! - My visit to Chengdu was an absolute highlight of my trip to China, thanks to a perfectly planned day that combined natural wonder, culture, and stunning modern architecture.
The day started with a visit to the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. It was incredible to see these adorable animals up close in a habitat that clearly prioritizes their well-being. Watching them munch on bamboo was a truly joyful and heartwarming experience. This was followed by a trip to a fascinating museum (I believe it was the Jinsha Site Museum), which provided a deep and interesting dive into the region's ancient history.
The evening brought a completely different but equally amazing spectacle: a visit to the Twin Towers. When illuminated at night, the LED strips on the towers create a breathtaking display. From a distance, the effect is so seamless it looks like a giant, beautiful digital screen painting the sky. It was a mesmerizing sight and a must-see for any photographer.
However, the true star of our tour was our guide, Joy. Her command of English is excellent, making every explanation clear and easy to understand. She was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and her hospitality was second to none. She truly went above and beyond to ensure our group had a fantastic and comfortable experience.
If you are booking a trip to Chengdu, I would highly recommend requesting Joy as your guide. Her expertise and warm personality made the day truly special. A 5-star experience all around

Serendipity - Charles, our guide in Chengdu, made our stay unique and unforgettable, well beyond our expectations!
Not only did he thoroughly and competently guide us to exploring Chengdu's beautiful landmarks (such as the amazing Panda Breeding Research Base and the breathtaking Sanxingdui Museum), he also enriched the visit programme by offering us a closer experience of Chengdu's tradition, culture and lifestyle: under his guidance, we could explore Chengdu's cuisine, we enjoyed a traditional show and we had a try at Chinese handwriting.
Even after hours, he was always ready to help, either for ordering dinner or for replacing my wife's broken eyeglasses.
Thank you so much Charles! We came to Chengdu for visiting a beautiful city and we found a very special person and a good friend.

Happy Chengdu adventures with Julie - My day trip in Chengdu with my guide Julie was lovely! Right from the beginning Julie was extremely pleasant, she spoke great English and it was very easy to get along with her and communicate. She was very well prepared, shared a lot of interesting cultural and historical tidbits during our trip together and even had a lovely activity prepared to round up the day. Highly recommend her as a guide during a stay in Chengdu, she is professional and very friendly, a delight to have as a guide.
