- Giant Panda Breeding Research Base (Xiongmao Jidi) - The guide and driver will collect guests from their hotels between 7 and 8 AM, and transport them to the Giant Panda Breeding Research Base, a journey of approximately 30 to 45 minutes. Spend 2.5 to 3 hours exploring the panda park, observing pandas from tiny pink newborns to full-grown adults. Enjoy watching the delightful panda cubs as they frolic in their play areas, relax in the pool, or climb trees.
- Leshan Giant Buddha (Da Fo) - Next, travel to the historic Leshan Buddha with a 2.5-hour drive on the expressway. After a brief lunch, explore the world’s largest sitting Buddha statue, standing about 71 meters tall and carved into a cliff face. If conditions permit, the guide will provide a closer view of the Buddha’s head and feet. Discover more about Buddhism and local traditions at the Lingyun Temple adjacent to the Giant Buddha.
After spending 2 hours at the Leshan Buddha, return to Chengdu and conclude the tour at Tianfu Square in the city center.

Fantastic one-day tour! - Loved this tour! Started with adorable pandas at Chengdu Base – so cute munching bamboo and playing. Then off to Leshan Giant Buddha – amazing views from the boat, huge and impressive! Guide was great, everything well-organized. Highly recommend!

Long tour, but worth it - I saw both the pandas and the giant Buddha. Both were great experiences, but there is a lot of waiting involved. The bus trip to the Buddha takes over 2 hours each way, and once we arrived we queued for over an hour, as it was a busy period. Visiting Leshan and visiting the panda research base would be good day trips on their own, but if you want to see two of the most impressive attractions in Sichuan in 1 day I would recommend this tour.

Highly Recommend! - I had an amazing experience on this Chengdu tour to the Panda Base and Leshan Buddha! Mark is an incredibly dedicated guide who truly went above and beyond. He provided clear, detailed explanations in perfect English, answered every question patiently, and made sure the whole trip was well-organized with no rush. The itinerary was thoughtful, allowing us to fully enjoy the cute pandas and the magnificent Leshan Buddha

A Great Trip - I joined this English-guided tour and had a nice time. The guide spoke fluent English, showed us good spots to avoid crowds at the Panda Base and explained the Buddha’s history well. We had a group lunch around 1-2 PM—30 RMB per person, tasty Sichuan food. The bus was clean, driver steady. Relaxing and worth recommending.

A Fantastic Trip to Leshan and Panda Base - What an amazing trip! The weather was cool, making the whole journey very comfortable. We could get on the bus at the meeting point, and what's more, hotel pick - up and drop - off were also available, which was so convenient. The Leshan Giant Buddha was breathtaking, and seeing the pandas was such a delight. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly, adding so much to the experience. It was really a fantastic tour!

So Good! - This tour’s totally worth it! The guide’s English is solid, explains everything well. We got up close to the pandas (they’re so cute!) and learned all about Leshan Buddha’s history. Best part? Tickets and round-trip rides are included—no stress at all. Super good deal, foreign folks will love it!

It's an English guided... - It's an English guided group mixed with Europeons, Ameicans and some Asians. The tour leader Mark speaks English pretty well and makes himself understood all the way. Panda base is large and clean, very well organized too. Worth the money, good choice to travel around the city.

We were lucky the day was... - We were lucky the day was good to see the panda’s unfortunately the panda’s have to be wanted to be seen😀. Barry, our guide spoke English and communicated well but we wld have liked more specific in formation relating to the panda’s and the facility. All in all I wld recommend this tour.
