- Giant Panda Breeding Research Base (Xiongmao Jidi) - Meet your friendly English-speaking guide at your hotel lobby and you’ll head to the Chengdu Panda Breeding Center, a non-profit research and breeding facility for giant pandas and other rare animals. Spend your morning with the cutest, yet impressive, creatures in China! 3 hours inside the Panda Center, tour through the baby and adult panda areas. On a guided tour, visit different sections of the center to get a full overview of a panda’s development. Visit the baby garden, where you can see giant panda cubs born in summer, which weigh only about 3.5 ounces (100 grams) at birth and by the third month are able to walk on their own. Then stop at the sub-adult garden, where the adolescent pandas hang out, and see the adult garden, which houses the giant pandas in all their full-grown glory. Take pictures of this endangered species eating bamboo, sleeping or frolicking about. Finally, visit the red panda section to see these small adorable animals and try to spot the sleeping red pandas stretched out on branches in the red panda garden.

Simply Wonderful - Our wonderful guide Jojo was not only very knowledgeable about the Pandas, she also lead us through the park with enthusiasm and cleverness such that we were able to enjoy viewing the Pandas at length and avoiding the big streams of other visitors.
The whole experience was simply amazing and Jojo was the key factor in ensuring such a positive outcome. We would certainly book her again.
She also recommended a fantastic restaurant after the tour and helps us to pick scrumptious dishes. Thank you for a wonderful time.

Pandas - Excellent experience. Our driver and guide were both very professional, punctual, and attentive. Our guide was able to answer many questions about Chengdu and her experience living there. She was knowledgeable about the Panda breeding center and able to take us to the areas for the best Panda viewing. The Breeding Center itself was remarkable with the cage-less enclosures and beautiful landscaping. Viator had issued a mistaken reservation to us which was cancelled the day before our tour. However they were able to rebook us quickly.

Wonderful tour, highly recommended 👌 - We took a half day private tour with Perry, he guided us around the gigantic panda park with patience and showed us the best spots to see the 🐼s. We were very lucky to see two active baby pandas and their mother in close range. Highly recommend Perry's services to others interested in an educational and relaxing tour. Afterwards we enjoyed delicious local noodles together. - Catherine and Florian

I did this tour solo and... - I did this tour solo and had Emma as my tour guide. From the beginning of pickup she was extremely friendly and very easy to talk to. She was very knowledgeable during the tour and answered any questions I had as well. She made it feel like it was just visiting the park with a friend and I am very thankful for having her as a guide. Her english was amazing as well!

Great tour and tour guide - Lj was amazing, arrived early to pick us up at the hotel. no rushing us along, allowed us to take our time during the day. English was excellent.
Good conversations over lunch, walking through the streets and afternoon tea in the park. Lunch provided was a good mix of different chinese dishes to eat, delicious.. too much for us to eat it all... 😀
We had such a great day out with LJ.. 100% recommend.

Amazing experience with pandas - My friend and I have done a volunteer half day experience with our guide, Wells.
The experience is totally worth it. We never saw Panda or red Panda in real life before and seeing them so close was very incredible!! Plus, this base is less famous than the one in Chengdu which is bigger so it is less crowded that make the experience even better.
Moreover, Wells helped us to take photos of us with pandas and doing the experience of being a volunteer in this base is also something you should do to see panda very close. Wells was also kind and knowledgeable answering our questions.

Lovely morning with Jojo! - This was a lovely morning tour to see the pandas! The whole site is very well laid out and nice to walk around. There are numerous pens with both giant panda, children, teenagers and adults(!) and red pandas. So you will see plenty! A half day morning tour is all you need, because the pandas are only out and active from early morning until about 10/10:30am. I had Jojo as my tour guide and she was lovely! Really easy to talk to! Told me loads about the pandas and other things regarding life in China, which was very insightful! It’s surreal to see them! Go do it! Thank-you Jojo!

Good tour for base logistics - Good guide Jin who really took us on a great path through the base to minimize crowds and maximize panda viewing - that is key as the base is huge and crowded. We saw a lot of pandas outside and it was wonderful
