Chengdu - In the morning, the driver and guide will meet the operator at 8:00 am at the Chengdu hotel to transfer to the Chengdu Panda Base, a 30-minute drive covering 15 km.
Giant Panda Breeding Research Base (Xiongmao Jidi) - The first stop is Chengdu’s Giant Panda Breeding Research Base, home to over 80 of China’s iconic pandas. While most are the familiar black and white pandas, the Base also houses several smaller, lesser-known red pandas.
Visitors can observe the pandas eating and playing in a habitat that closely resembles their natural environment. Additionally, they will learn about the efforts of scientists and ecologists to protect the remaining wild pandas and increase the captive population. Notably, over 100 pandas have been born at the Base since 1987.
The Base gained even more significance after the 2008 Sichuan earthquake, with eight pandas relocated here from the severely damaged Wolong reserve. The visit supports the ongoing conservation efforts both morally and financially.
Chengdu Renmin Park - Next, the tour proceeds to Renmin Park, a comprehensive garden that combines cultural heritage with entertainment. Locals often relax here by drinking tea. Experiencing Renmin Park is essential to understanding the “Capital of Leisure” lifestyle. The park is always bustling with people enjoying the shade from sunrise. Popular activities include visiting a teahouse, ordering tea, reading for an entire afternoon, or chatting with friends. Embracing the slow pace of life in Chengdu can lead to a sense of happiness.
Jinli Pedestrian Street - After lunch, the private car will take the group to Jinli Old Street, offering an impressive journey through this famous street. Time seems to slip away while exploring the lively streets filled with delicious local snacks, delicate artifacts, and engaging folk shows.

Chengdu - After breakfast at the hotel, the driver and guide will meet the operator at 9:00 am in the hotel lobby to transfer to Leshan, a 2.5-hour drive covering 150 km.
Leshan Giant Buddha (Da Fo) - Dating back to the 8th century, the Giant Buddha of Leshan is the largest carved stone Buddha and the tallest pre-modern statue globally. It was carved from the cliffs of Lingyun Shan to calm the turbulent waters of the three rivers flowing beneath it. Stairs carved into the cliff connect the Buddha’s feet with the land above, offering various vantage points to view this remarkable sight. The views over the elbows and knees, encompassing the river scene and Leshan’s skyline, are stunning.
Upon arrival in Leshan, lunch can be enjoyed at a restaurant with a view of the Giant Buddha. The group will then explore the Giant Buddha and enjoy fantastic views of the surrounding landscape from the Buddha’s head.
A visit to Lingyun Temple and Museum follows, providing deeper insight into the history of this incredible Buddhist site and the story behind the Giant Buddha’s carving.
