• Dujiangyan Panda Base - At 7:15 am, your personal tour guide and driver will greet you in your hotel lobby for a picturesque drive to the Dujiangyan Panda Ark, taking about 1.5 hours. Leaving early allows you to avoid morning traffic and arrive in time to see the pandas during their most lively period. If you prefer to leave later, please let us know when booking.

Upon arrival, you’ll enter the Panda Ark, a sanctuary dedicated to the conservation and protection of these magnificent animals. As you wander through the park, you’ll have the chance to watch giant pandas in their naturalistic enclosures, playing and enjoying their bamboo meals. Your guide will provide insights into the lives and habits of these cherished creatures, as well as the ongoing conservation efforts to protect them.

You’ll also visit the research and breeding centers, learning about the innovative programs designed to support the panda population.

• Mount Qingcheng - After visiting the Dujiangyan Panda Ark, your tour continues with a drive to the UNESCO World Heritage site, Mount Qingcheng. Arriving around midday, you’ll take a golf cart to the mountain’s entrance. As you pass through the gate, you’ll be welcomed by the charming Taoist architecture that inspired DreamWorks to create the idyllic Panda Village in ‘Kung Fu Panda 3.’

In these peaceful surroundings, you’ll begin a half-hour uphill walk to Moon City Lake, where a cable car will take you up to the most significant Taoist temple on the mountain. Continue your hike to the summit, where the Laojun Pavilion is located. If the weather is clear, you’ll enjoy stunning views of Dujiangyan city and the surrounding landscape.

Once you’ve thoroughly explored the mountain, you’ll descend by cable car from Shangqing Palace and enjoy a 30-minute walk to exit Mount Qingcheng. Your guide and driver will then return you to your hotel, concluding a day of unforgettable experiences.

The Dujiangyan Panda Base is situated near the natural habitat of pandas. Visitors can see pandas that have returned from abroad, including Baobao, who was in Washington D.C. until 2017, and Taishan, who was born at the Smithsonian National Zoo in Washington D.C., USA.

Mount Qingcheng offers stunning views and is ideal for hiking. The creators of the movie Kung Fu Panda drew significant inspiration from Mount Qingcheng.
