Magical day with the pandas - This was an absolutely magic day, spending time helping to prepare food for the pandas, learning so much about them and the efforts to revive the population and best of all spending time watching the pandas wrestle and play This tour was amazing because of our guide Keira, Keira worked so hard to make sure we had a wonderful time immersed in the world of the panda, she hustled us when necessary to make sure we got a good view, took pictures of us, made sure we got to see the red pandas many others missed, didn’t rush us when we wanted to stand and stare at the panda antics and had such an infectious energy and sense of humour. I’d highly recommend this tour.

Keira made our day special - This panda volunteering experience was truly unforgettable and easily one of the highlights of our trip. From start to finish, everything was exceptionally well organized, meaningful, and deeply rewarding. Being so close to the pandas and learning about their care, conservation, and daily routines was both humbling and incredibly inspiring. A very special mention goes to our guide, Keira. She was absolutely fantastic - warm, cheerful, and genuinely passionate about what she does. From the very first moment, she made us feel comfortable, welcomed, and excited for the day ahead. Her positive energy was contagious, her explanations were clear and engaging, and she was always attentive to everyone in the group. It truly felt like we were spending the day with a friend rather than just being guided through an activity. Keira’s kindness, enthusiasm, and professionalism made a huge difference to the overall experience. We genuinely enjoyed her company and could not have asked for a better guide. Thanks to her, the day felt not only educational, but also joyful and personal. Highly, highly recommended - especially if you’re lucky enough to have Keira as your guide. This is an experience we’ll remember for a very long time. đŸŒđŸ’š

Love pandas - This has been one of the most beautiful experiences of my life. Been able to be so close of this majestic and gentle animal, in a small group and through the inner part of the park was amazing. And we had the best guide with us, Kira accompanied us every step of the way, giving us every detail and story of this beautiful place. I definitely recommend you to take this experience.

Volunteer for a day at Panda centre - The tour allows you to gain a sense of what its like to be a panda centre volunteer for a day. It will be the closest most will ever get to a Panda. My guide Keira was also great and handled all the translations and admin. It may be a tad expensive if you're going solo like I did.

We got to see the pandas get fed by the keepers really close, smash bamboo and make panda cakes and got to make fans. - It was an amazing experience! My tour guide, Heather, was amazing. She was very knowledgeable and she got to know us personally. She helped us with things to do in Chengdu and was amazing.

Unforgettable visit to Panda Base - We visited the Dujiangyan panda base with our two 20-something kids, something we have all spoken about as being a 'must-do'. We were not disappointed. Wells was our guide and met us promptly at the WA Chengdu where we were staying (also an amazing hotel!). The drive to panda base was 90 mins and Wells undated us on what we would do for the 1/2 day as well as background on the pandas. Once we arrived and formalities completed, off we went to see the pandas. The access is better than the general public, allowing you to get closer to the pandas (but no touching). To be so close was incredibly special. Aside from watching the pandas, the day included bamboo and 'cake' preparation as well as watching a couple of informative videos. Lunch was in the canteen, with basic chinese food which we loved. Wells stayed with us the whole time and was great. His spoken english was excellent and we went at a steady pace. We were grateful for his easy manner, cheery disposition andd helpfulness. Overall, we thoroughly recommend.

Panda Base and Other Cultural Activities - My 21 year daughter and I had a wonderful time on this trip visiting the pandas and got a lot of great photos and videos of the many pandas we saw. Our tour guide (Bella) did a great job not only at the animal preserve but in showing us some other cultural activities (2008 earthquake memorial, lunch, giant panda selfie, Harry Potter bookstore).

Amazing Chengdu experience with Bella - We have had an experience beyond our expectations. The visit to the panda centre was a lot of fun, and although we were unable to feed them due to decisions beyond the control of the tour organisers, we had a great time seeing the pandas up close and learning about them. After the tour, our wonderful tour guide Bella took us to learn a bit more about Chengdu, as we visited the People's Park, had tea, walked around one of the most popular areas in the city centre and she recommended a spectacular Hot Pot restaurant. If it's your first time in Chengdu, or if you want to do an activity that involves pandas, I wouldn't think twice about booking this tour, it was very good.

Good Experience but not cheap! - We were picked up at our hotel and taken to the Panda Base which took around 1.30hrs from Chengdu city centre. The place was not that busy so we got to see many of the Pandas without any crowds. Our guide was very informative and spoke good english. There were shuttle vehicles for transporting eveyone around but we choose to walk, which took less than 2hrs, stopping to take many pictures along the way. Whilst it was a good experience its wasnt cheap but having a private tour guide and walk at your own pace made it an enjoyable day out.
