Chengdu - In the morning, the driver and guide will meet the operator at 8:00 am at the Chengdu hotel to transfer to the Chengdu Panda Base, a 30-minute drive covering 15 km.
Giant Panda Breeding Research Base (Xiongmao Jidi) - The first stop is Chengdu’s Giant Panda Breeding Research Base, home to over 80 of China’s iconic pandas. While most are the familiar black and white variety, the Base also houses several smaller, lesser-known red pandas.
Visitors can observe the pandas eating and playing in a habitat that closely resembles their natural environment. Additionally, they will learn about the efforts of scientists and ecologists to protect the remaining wild pandas and increase the captive population. Notably, over 100 bears have been born at the Base since 1987.
The Base gained even more significance after the 2008 Sichuan earthquake, with eight bears relocated here from the severely damaged Wolong reserve. The visit supports the ongoing conservation efforts both morally and financially.
Chengdu Renmin Park - Next, the tour proceeds to Renmin Park, a comprehensive garden that combines cultural heritage and entertainment. Locals in Chengdu often relax here by drinking tea. To truly understand the “Capital of Leisure,” a visit to Renmin Park is essential. The park is always bustling with people enjoying the shade from sunrise. Activities include visiting a teahouse, ordering a cup of tea, reading for an entire afternoon, or chatting with friends. Jinli Pedestrian Street - After lunch, a private car will take the group to Jinli Old Street for an impressive visit to this famous old street. Time seems to slip away while walking through lively streets filled with delicious local snacks, delicate artifacts, and interesting folk shows.

Chengdu - After breakfast at the hotel, the driver and guide will meet the operator at the hotel lobby at 9:00 am to transfer to Leshan, a 2.5-hour drive covering 150 km.
Leshan Giant Buddha (Da Fo) - Experience the Giant Buddha of Leshan, one of Chinese Buddhism’s holiest sites, on this amazing full-day tour from Chengdu. Dating back to the 8th century, the Giant Buddha of Leshan is the largest carved stone Buddha and the tallest pre-modern statue in the world. It was carved from the cliffs of Lingyun Shan to calm the turbulent waters of the three rivers flowing beneath it. Stairs carved into the cliff connect the area at the Buddha’s feet with the land above, offering various vantage points to view this astonishing sight. The views are stunning, taking in the river scene and Leshan’s skyline.
Upon arrival in Leshan, lunch can be enjoyed at a restaurant with a view of the Giant Buddha. The group will then explore the Giant Buddha and enjoy fantastic views of the surrounding landscape from atop the Buddha’s head.
The tour then visits Lingyun Temple and Museum to gain deeper insight into the history of this amazing Buddhist site and learn the story of the Giant Buddha’s carving.
Chengdu Station - Afterwards, a private car will take the group to Chengdu East Railway Station, where a train to Chongqing awaits. The G1887 train departs at 17:59 and arrives at 19:33, taking around 1.5 hours.
Chongqing Railway Station - Upon arrival in Chongqing, the group will be picked up on time and transferred to the Chongqing hotel (Driver only, no guide).

Chongqing - At around 08:00, the tour guide will pick up the group at the downtown Chongqing hotel for a 3-hour comfortable private vehicle drive to Wulong County.
Wulong Karst Geological Park - Wulong, known for its peculiar karst landforms, boasts jaw-dropping stone bridges, caves, pits, eroded sinkholes, and gorges. Wulong gained fame among foreign tourists due to Michael Bay’s hit movie – Transformers: Age of Extinction, which showcased the majestic beauty of the Three Natural Bridges in Wulong. Besides the famous movie site, other interesting natural attractions in the area include Furong Cave, Longshuixia Gap, and Fairy Mountain.
Wulong Tiankeng Three Bridges - After a hearty lunch at a local restaurant, the splendid Chongqing Wulong karst tour begins with the Three Natural Bridges, the essential scenic feature of this world heritage area. Exquisitely sculpted by nature, the three giant stone arch bridges are real wonders not found anywhere else in the world. Within the tranquil scenic area, visitors can embrace the rugged beauty of the mountain bridges and gorges by meandering along the narrow path at the valley’s bottom.
During the 2 - 2.5 hours visit, the tour will also stop by an ancient staging post near Qinglong Bridge, constructed during the Tang Dynasty (618 - 907) for handling official business and receiving guests. The wooden-structured courtyards are still well-preserved, with more than 20 rooms remaining.
After some free time to wander around, the Wulong trip from Chongqing concludes, and the group will be transferred back to the hotel, arriving at around 18:30.

People’s Assembly Hall - The first stop of this tour is The People’s Hall of Chongqing, a landmark architecture completed in 1954 to commemorate China’s resistance war and the establishment of a new government. It is also one of the top 10 classic architectures in 20th-century Asia.
Stilwell Museum/Former Residence of General Stilwell (Shidiwei Jiangjun Jiuju) - Next, the tour visits the Chongqing Stilwell Museum - The Flying Tiger Memorial, which was once used as an important lodging place by the KMT government to accommodate VIPs during the war against Fascism.
Ciqikou (Porcelain Port) - After the museum visit, the guide will take the group to taste authentic Chongqing Hot Pot (steam bowl), a well-known and popular dish in China. The group will challenge this hot and spicy dish for lunch to appreciate its popularity. In the afternoon, the tour visits Ciqikou old town, named for its ancient Chinaware production. It is also a great place to explore local folklore.
E’ling Park - The last stop in Chongqing is Eling Park, the highest scenic location where visitors can enjoy aerial views of the entire city.

Chongqing - Today, the group will head to Dazu County for a full day of sightseeing (the guide will meet them at 08:30 in the hotel lobby).
The Dazu Rock Carvings - A famous world heritage site, the Dazu Rock Carvings encompass all the grotto sites in Dazu County, covering several large scenic areas. The guide will accompany the group to tour the well-preserved Baodingshan Carvings. Green buses will take visitors directly to Baodingshan. The mountain cliffs are densely scattered with Buddhist and Taoist statues, as well as celebrity figures from the late Tang Dynasty (618 - 907). Visitors can wander at their own pace to closely examine the precious grotto art.
Chongqing Chaotianmen - Afterward, the group will be transferred to the Chongqing Chaotianmen pier for check-in. Boarding the ship is from 18:30 to 21:00, and it departs Chongqing at 21:30.

Yichang - The local driver will meet the group at the Three Gorges tourist center and transfer them to Zhangjiajie by car, a 4.5-hour drive covering 378 km.

Zhangjiajie National Forest Park - On this full-day tour, the guide will meet the group at 9:00 am in the hotel lobby in Zhangjiajie city center or Wulingyuan hotel. The tour will visit different mountain areas such as Tianzi Mountain, where the world’s longest cable car ride takes visitors to the mountain’s peak, and the unique platform-shaped Yuanjiajie Mountain.
Zhangjiajie National Forest Park is home to over 500 species of wildlife and vegetation, including rare monkeys, gingko trees, and thousands of colorful birds. The park’s most notable geographic features are its hundreds of towering sandstone pillars. Fans of Hollywood blockbusters will instantly recognize the stunning landscape as the inspiration for the scenery of Pandora in James Cameron’s hit movie Avatar.
Wulingyuan Scenic and Historic Interest Area of Zhangjiajie - The Wulingyuan Scenic and Historic Interest Area, located north of Zhangjiajie City, is a charming tourist attraction and one of China’s 40 famous scenic spots. It is described as ‘The ampliative miniascape and the contractible fairyland’ and was added to the ‘World Heritage List’ in 1992.
The Wulingyuan Scenic and Historic Interest Area boasts natural beauty where mountains, valleys, forests, caves, lakes, and waterfalls exist in total harmony. Over 560 attraction sights can be found here. The strangely-shaped peaks, absurd stones, hidden valleys, wonderful waters, and limestone caves form the ‘Five Wonders’ of Wulingyuan, which are truly worth seeing.
Covering an area of 690 square kilometers (266 square miles), Wulingyuan Scenic Area consists of four parts: Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, Suoxi Valley Nature Reserve, Tianzi Mountain Nature Reserve, and the newly added Yangjiajie Scenic Area.
Today, the tour will visit the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park and Tianzi Mountain Nature Reserve area.
Tianzi Mountain - After purchasing the main park entrance tickets, the group will take a shuttle bus (20 minutes drive) to the Tianzi Mountain cable station and walk up 200 steps to reach the station.
Tianzi Mountain Clouds - After a 20-minute cable car ride, the group will reach the top of Tianzi Mountain and take another shuttle bus (5 minutes drive) to the Tianzi Mountain central area, which offers stunning views of peaks rising one after another. It is known as ‘the Monarch of the Peak Forest.’ At the top of the mountain, visitors can see the full extent of the Wulingyuan Scenic Area. Beautiful scenes of the mountain greet visitors in different seasons. There are four wonders: the Sea of Clouds, the Radiance of the Moonlight, Rays of Sunshine, and the Snow in winter.
BaiLong Elevator - After visiting Yuanjiajie (Avatar Mountain), the group will take a shuttle (15 minutes drive) to the Bailong Elevator. The Bailong Elevator is magnificent, with a total height of 335 meters (1,099 feet), of which the running height is 326 meters (1,069 feet). 154 meters (505 feet) of the total height is in the mountain wells, and the remaining 172 meters (564 feet) is composed of steel derrick and other components. The Elevator includes three exposure sightseeing elevators running parallelly. Each elevator can take 50 passengers at a time, and the speed is 3 m/s (accelerated to 5 m/s since 2013). If the three elevators run simultaneously, the one-way passenger capacity will reach 4,000 per hour.
Golden Whip Brook - The group will hike for about an hour along the Golden Whip Stream and then take a shuttle to exit the park and return to the hotel.
Golden Whip Stream (Jinbian Stream) is famous for its pristine water, verdant mountains, steep cliffs, and serene valley. As a veritable “paradise” for plants, its pathways are adorned with an abundance of flowers, trees, and grasses. It is also a kingdom of animals. Golden Whip Stream is named after Golden Whip Crag, its landmark spot, and runs from Laomo Bay to Shui Rao Si Men (water-surrounded gates).
Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge - Next, the group will head to the Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge area, but there is no time to visit the Grand Canyon. Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge, also known as Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon skywalk, is the world’s longest and highest glass bridge, hanging over Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon. From a distance, it looks like a piece of white silk floating between the clouds and fog, hence it is also called Yuntiandu, meaning “a way of clouds to the sky.” Standing on it, if daring, visitors can have a bird’s eye view of the Grand Canyon.
Zhangjiajie - Finally, the group will be driven back to the hotel.

Zhangjiajie - At 9:00 am, the tour guide will meet the group at the hotel lobby and transfer them to Zhangjiajie Tianmen Park.
Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park - Today, the group will spend 3-4 hours at Tianmen Mountain Park. They will use the cable car or shuttle bus to go up the hill, depending on traffic. Tianmen Mountain is known as the “New Legend Of Zhangjiajie.” It is the highest spot (1,500 m) in Zhangjiajie, where visitors can walk on a super-exciting cliff-path and glass walkway and see the whole city and beautiful countryside from a bird’s eye view. The landscape there is totally different from, yet at the same level as, the Zhangjiajie National Park. Both are world-class scenery, making it a must-visit highlight of this city. What is more unbelievable? This single mountain holds 4 World Guinness Records in its small body, and any of them will be overwhelmingly impressive to any type of human being. It is an amazing experience like no other.
Zhangjiajie - After lunch, the group will be transferred to Zhangjiajie airport for a flight to Shanghai, possibly taking the Ho1046 flight from 19:15 to 21:20.
Pudong International Airport - Upon arrival in Shanghai, the group will be picked up on time and transferred to the hotel (Driver only, no guide).

Shanghai - The guide will pick up the group at the hotel lobby at around 09:00 in the morning. They will be escorted to the well-known Urban Planning Exhibition Hall, a 20-minute ride away.
Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall - At the Urban Planning Exhibition Hall, visitors can view many textual and graphic files and architectural models, providing an overall understanding of Shanghai’s development.
Yu Garden (Yuyuan) - Then, enjoy a relaxing time strolling through the beautiful Yu Garden. Located in the old town, Yuyuan Garden is the most famous ancient site in the city for its ingenious layout and delicate architecture. The garden’s treasure, Yu Ling Long (an exquisite jade stone), an artificial hill, is considered one of the three most well-known peaks in Southern China.
Yuyuan Old Street - Next, visit the Yuyuan Bazaar, also known as Yuyuan Market, located outside Yu Garden in the heart of Old Shanghai City and close to the Old City God Temple. The area features many traditional Chinese buildings, now used as commercial stores selling local products, snacks, jewelry, souvenirs, antiques, and more.
Shanghai World Financial Center - Afterwards, the group will visit the Shanghai World Financial Center and ascend to the 100th floor for panoramic views of the city. It is the world’s 8th tallest building and the 4th tallest structure in Mainland China. The 100th floor has a viewing gallery that is 55 meters long, making it the second-highest observation deck in China. It is higher than the viewing platforms on the Canadian TV Tower (447 meters) and the Dubai Tower (440 meters).
The Bund (Wai Tan) - After that, the group will visit the Bund area, the quintessential part of Shanghai. Located on the bank of the Huangpu River, travelers come to the Bund not only for the charming riverside scenery but also for the unique western and gothic architecture. Some free time will be set aside for visitors to stroll around the Bund and take photos.
Shanghai - Finally, the guide will escort the group back to the hotel.

Shanghai - The guide will pick up the group at the hotel lobby at around 09:00 in the morning. They will be escorted to the well-known Zhujiajiao water town, a 60-minute ride away.
Zhujiajiao Ancient Town - The Zhujiajiao water town is renowned throughout the country, with a history of over 1,700 years. Covering an area of 47 square kilometers (11,614 acres), the fan-shaped town, regarded as Shanghai’s Venice, glimmers like a bright pearl in the landscape of lakes and mountains. Three places in the water town deserve a visit: Kezhi Garden, Qing Dynasty Post Office, and Fangsheng Bridge. The tour guide will accompany the group to visit these.
Kezhi Garden, built in 1912, contains various pavilions and buildings, a lotus pond, stele corridors, a bridge of nine turnings, and different kinds of plants. Visitors can see the calligraphy inscription of the literati in the Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644 AD) with high artistic value in the stele corridor.
In the Qing Dynasty Post Office, visitors can see precious old postcards and letters from the Qing Dynasty (1644 - 1911 AD). There is a post box with a carved dragon on it, still in use today.
Fangsheng Bridge, built in the Ming Dynasty, is the largest and longest stone arch bridge in Shanghai, with five arches.
Visitors will take a local featured wooden boat from Kezhi Garden and go ashore at North Street. The remaining time is for a free visit to wander around the ancient streets.

Jade Buddha Temple - After lunch, the group will visit the Jade Buddha Temple. Built in 1882 for the two white jade Buddha statues from Burma, the Jade Buddha Temple is a famous Buddhist shrine and an active Zen monastery. The temple plays an important role in disseminating Buddhism through cultural means, including lectures and library services, Buddhist academic publications, and regular Buddhist cultural activities.
Tianzifang - The tour will conclude at Tianzifang, an old-style cultural block featuring distinctive Shikumen buildings with art studios, themed cafés and bars, and handicraft workshops.
Shanghai - Finally, the group will be driven to the Shanghai hotel/airport/train station, marking the end of the 12-day tour services.
