Great tour - Very knowledgeable guide who was excellent. Very good value for money.
We felt like we saw all the highlights of Chennai in one day, which was great as we had limited time there.
We would highly recommend to anyone wanting to book a tour of the city.

Sunday Drive in Chennai - We had a wonderful experience driving around the city on a lazy Sunday.
Our guide Gopal arrived well before time. He was very courteous. We enjoyed our stop at Kapaleeshwar temple and at St Thomas Basilica. Afterwards, we chose to remain in the car as it was very hot. We did see all the major architectural buildings including the social houses for the fishers in Marina Beach. Our guide provided thorough explanations in excellent English. The car in which we drove was well maintained with good AC.

Knowledgeable Guide - This is a great option to see Chennai. Pick up and drop off from hotel was very easy. Guide confirmed ahead of time. He was extremely knowledgeable and happy to share the history of the area.

Good, but no wow! - Gopal was at the hotel on time. Contacting them via WhatsApp beforehand was also easy. Somehow I got to see everything from Chennai, but somehow it felt a bit unreal in 2 hours. In hindsight, I have to say, with better time management, I could have gone to the big train station (which was rejected!) and enjoyed a little longer everywhere - even on the beach for me.
But that was not what mattered to the team of driver and guide. I think they wanted to get it done quickly! It's not a bad course, 77 € for 2 hours of work plus 6 € tip! My hourly wages are lower!

Temple, beach and everything in between - Visited many sites from comfort of air conditioned car, got out at many locations to look in more detail and take photos. Highlight was the temple tour, Gopal our guide very knowledgeable and explained things very clearly. Learned a lot. Thank you

Don't book this tour! - Booked this tour through Viator.
Tour due to start from hotel 9am. 9:40 driver arrived, no guide! Meet guide at temple, no guide. 20 minutes of sitting in car at side of busy road. Still no guide. Now getting on for 10:30. Decided we'd had enough and asked driver to return us to hotel. After 4 or 5 emails giving all information we were given back half cost!! You will see how much tour is and we realised too late that is was very over priced. Our hotel did same tour for INR 24000.

Don’t do it! Not worth the risk. - The guide did not turn up at 9am as agreed. By 9:20am staff at the hotel was asking if we had a problem. Staff tried to contact guide but no reply. Tried again later and guide said driver was at hotel, he wasn’t! He did arrive by 9:40am but no guide. Meet guide at first temple. We arrived at temple about 10am but no guide. He will be 10 minutes. After 20 minutes no guide. We had been parked at the side of a very busy road and we had had enough. Asked to be taken back to the hotel. We had been kept waiting, driving, sitting in car for an hour and a half. I have requested refund and after numerous email have been offered half which is INR 3335.00. This was an expensive trip for 2 people. Instead we took hotel trip via concierge which only cost INR 2400.00. Be warned your hotel might be your best bet!!

Don’t even think of booking!! - This was the most disasterous tour I have ever been on! Don’t even think to book it. We were supposed to be picked up by English speaking guide at 9am. Eventually at 9:40am a taxi arrived but no guide. We travelled to one of the city temples to me the guide but he still hadn’t shown up after 20minutes and wanted us to stay sitting in the car by the side of a bush road until he showed up. I’m afraid we had had enough by now and asked the driver, who was not happy either, to take us back to the hotel. I contacted the company for a refund but eventually they said that they had reviewed the situation and we were not entitled to a refund!! No explanation as to why they had come to this conclusion. I did ask but have not heard from them since. The most depressing part of this is that we booked through Viator who have been very good in the past.

Terrible Customer Experience. Will not recommend - Tour operator was unresponsive. Did not pick up calls and very slow to reply to messages (if at all). When they finally did reply my message, they confirmed the tour was on the 3rd of Feb at 9am, but then was a no show. They called later in the day at around 2pm (while I was having lunch) trying to offer to pick me up where ever I was, completely disregarding my plans for the day and the inconvenience they had caused. I told them that I had a dinner at 7.30pm and will not have time for a tour as I need to go back to the hotel to get ready for dinner and I also haven't finished lunch. They kept insisting that they can pick me up right there and then to start the tour with no consideration that I was having lunch with company and can't just wash my hands and leave. All in all, terrible customer focus.
