This tour offers an opportunity to explore the flourishing of the French Renaissance along the banks of the Loire River, the largest French site included in UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites.
Numerous Italian artists and engineers, including Leonardo Da Vinci, made their home in this region, still referred to as the “Garden of France.” Thanks to the ambition of the French Kings, they initiated an extraordinary artistic revolution that visitors are invited to admire in the stunning castles.
The tour begins with a pick-up at 7:00 am. After a two-hour drive, there will be a coffee break. Following another hour of travel, the first stop will be the Château de Chenonceaux, also known as “The Ladies’ Castle,” an architectural masterpiece spanning a river.
For lunch, the tour will proceed to the royal town of Amboise, where Leonardo Da Vinci spent the final three years of his life.
Finally, the tour will visit the Château of Chambord, a quintessential example of Renaissance architecture in the Loire Valley and a testament to King Francis I’s ambition.
