Thrilling! - We went for the 2 day short break which was the best to be able to go on all rides and even a few times on saw, hyperia and the swarm! The one ride i’d not recommend wasting time woth is the walking dead… that was sich a disappointment im surprised it’s under thrill rides.

thorpe park tidal wave - We travelled to Thorpe park for my birthday with my parents and brother. We had no queue to get to the car park because we got the bus to get there the queue to get in was about 30 minutes but it felt like we were always moving the first ride we went on was tidal wave at the end of the ride WE GOT SOAKED which meant I was freezing cold for the rest of the day perhaps we should of gone on it last LOL also DO NOT go on steath because it was too fast for me! other than that i had a great day and really enjoyed my day.

Very enjoyable day out - We pre-booked our tickets and fast passes for the easter weekend where we would have 1 day at the park. The fast pass we booked did not include Hyperia which I thought was odd, then the closer we got to going we had heard there was a fast pass + which included Hyperia! This was not an option when we had booked our tickets back in March. When we collected our fast passes we asked if we could upgrade but were told we could not. Overall we spent 3 hours queuing on Hyperia twice yet had paid over £400 for our tickets and fast passes! Regardless, we had an amazing day out but found Thorpe Park to be a lot more expensive than Alton Towers which we usually go to every year (probably due to the location). We were glad we could get on all the big rides at least once, we managed to get on Hyperia, Saw and Stealth twice! All the rides are unique and so much fun. The park states no queue jumping and no smoking/vaping in the queues, we noticed a lot of this for Hyperia but I appreciate it is hard to manage. Plenty of food choices and we paid £18 for the refillable cup where there were plenty of stations to fill up at with a good selection of drinks. We chose KFC for lunch as there were lots of seats inside, waited a few minutes for food but it came out fresh. There were plenty of staff around and the park felt clean and tidy. Plenty of toilets and these were kept clean throughout the day too. We had a great day out and would definitely return in the near future.

Chairs in queues and cheaper things - Put sitting places in the queues we were on the queue for inferno for 1 hour and my legs were killing when we got off the ride, absolutely killed me. Make things cheaper you make enough money and you make a normal bag of sweets £3.50.

Sunshine, Sad Salad, and the Death of Joy: A Day at Thorpe Park - Four of us set out with optimism and a boot full of snacks, en route to one of the UK’s premier theme parks. Spirits were high. The M3 was kind. Even the backstreets of Chertsey offered a faint promise of fun.
Then we arrived.
The car park—if we’re calling it that—had a post-apocalyptic charm. Potholes. Dust. A general sense that civilisation ended here some years ago. We parked up and joined the first of the day’s many queues. This one was for security, staffed by a man who clearly believed he was guarding the final departure gate at Heathrow, not a Surrey-based rollercoaster.
Inside, the excitement grew… briefly… until the first thing we saw was a sign announcing that Hyperia, the much-advertised new ride, would be shut all day. A nice touch to reveal this after entry, once hope had truly taken root.
Crossing the bridge into the main park felt like entering a festival curated by GCSE students on work experience. The app, cleverly, allows you to monitor in real-time exactly how long you’ll be standing around. Thanks to the sunshine, the day’s two constants—queuing and regretting—were at least done in warm weather.
We managed three rides: Nemesis, Stealth, and Swarm. All solid thrillers, all about 30 seconds long, and all requiring a minimum 30-minute build-up. For £7 a pop, you could skip the queues—if you were morally comfortable with paying more for a single ride than most people pay for lunch.
Speaking of lunch: do not, under any circumstances, be lured into the “all-you-can-eat pizza and pasta” establishment. £22.50 buys you access to an endless supply of cheap dough, overcooked penne, and a salad bar so sad it should come with a helpline.
We did the Ghost Train too. Not scary, but charming in its own way. Think immersive theatre on a budget. Shout out to the lad playing the manic commuter—his performance suggested both chronic sleep deprivation and an urgent need for equity representation.
And just when we thought the day couldn’t surprise us again—£12 for parking. A final insult. A parting gift. A small thank-you for your patience, your custom, and your shattered soul.
We went on a “quiet” day. I dread to imagine what a busy one looks like. Probably something between Dante’s Inferno and the third act of Les Misérables.
Would I return? Only if Hyperia opens, the queues shrink, and someone else offers to pay. Even then, I’d think twice.
Three stars for the rides. Zero for everything else.

Rubbish - Shocking. Several rides were closed. Prices outrageous. The £12 parking charge was salt rubbed in the wounds. I felt like a schmuck.

Racist staff !!! - This was a horrible experience we waited for 2+ hours for the newest and best ride year for Hyperia . We’ve been planning this trip for 2 months and have been looking forward to this ride . But when we were just about to go on two racist women told security that we had cut the line. The staff had no proof but since we were black we didn’t have a chance to say our side of the story . I’ll be reporting the staff as they are horrible and have no sense of fairness. Do not come here if u want to have a good experience!
