- Chiang Mai - The tour begins with a delightful journey through the mountainous landscape leading to the National Park and preserved forest, extending to the mountain’s summit and offering a refreshing climate throughout the year. The Air Force Radar Station and King Inthawichayanon’s stupa are located here, honoring the last king of Chiang Mai. He valued the significance of forests and aimed to conserve them for future generations. His connection to the area was so profound that he requested part of his ashes be kept here, maintaining a special place for the local community residing around the mountain.
- Doi Inthanon - Bird enthusiasts will be thrilled by the abundance of avian residents. Doi Inthanon is a site of exceptional biological interest, supporting a diverse range of vegetation types and boasting a higher number of bird species than any other protected area. Out of the 382 bird species identified at Doi Inthanon, at least 266 are current or former residents of the mountain. The area is crucial for the conservation of species inhabiting the moist hill evergreen forests of the upper slopes.
- Phra Maha Dhatu Naphamethinidon and Naphaphonphumisiri Pagoda - The tour continues with a visit to Phra Mahathat Napha Methanidon and Phra Mahathat Naphaphon Phumisiri, twin pagodas built to celebrate the fifth cycle birthdays of King Bhumibol Adulyadej and Queen Sirikit. Both pagodas feature similar bases and a two-level walking path encircling them. They enshrine Lord Buddha’s ashes and Buddha images, offering breathtaking views of Doi Inthanon.
- Ban I Mat-I Sai Hill Tribe Cultural Centre and Karen Village - The journey proceeds to the Karen hill tribe village and the Royal Project, where lunch will be provided.
- Wachirathan Falls - Enjoy a brief walk to visit Wachirathan Waterfall before returning to Chiang Mai. If time allows, there will be a stop at a local hill tribe village and a temple with holy relics in the small town of Chom Thong.
The expected return to your hotel is around 4 pm.
