Why did I bother with other tours? This is THE water tour not to miss! - This is an experience and Ken, the owner and Captain, killed it. My wife and I traveled to Chicago without kids for the first time in 20 years and wanted to do some different things than before. We had done the big boat tours and other touristy stuff, which were fine with kids 15 and under, so we didn’t want that. Not to mention that we wanted a more personal, small group experience. We had that with this tour! Ken picked us up and from the get-go was full of interesting information about all things Chicago and Lake Michigan. We hauled ass in his rigid inflatable to start about a mile into Lake Michigan to the Dever Crib and Lighthouse for some history and an incredible view of the city from the water. It only got better from there! We’ve done some really fun things in the city, but likely wouldn’t do those again, but this boat tour we would (and likely will) do it again and bring our adult children or friends to experience. Since I can only give him 5 stars out of 5, I guess I’ll settle on that, but would give him more if I could.

Great captain and itinerary - What a great way to spend the afternoon, A combo tour of fresh air and waves with speed in an agile craft on Lake Michigan, followed by a slow trolling architectural tour on the river. Knowledgeable guide, engaging and informative. Friendly and the kind of guide you’d want for a tour like this. With a maximum of six people on the boat, you will have a great view and feel comfortable. Love the life jackets - not the big bulky type, but lightweight and auto inflates if needed. A great trip for teens and adults alike. Why be part of the masses on a large slow boat that only goes in the river. Get the full Chicago experience on this one of a kind tour!

Lovely boat ride - This boat tour is small and intimate. There were 4 of us, plus Ken which made it all the more special. I was nervous at first due to the speed but Ken was reassuring. It was welcomed change from the bigger boats tours. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Chicago. Ken was very experienced and knowledgeable. Thanks for a great experience, Ken! Ken did a good job of... - Ken did a good job of navigating the weather and keeping it a lot of fun for my 12 year old. His stories were good and this covered much of what you would see on the Architecture Boat Tour, but with some quick legs along the edge of the lake as well.

Best boat ride in Chicago - Easy to book and right on time for a great water tour of Chicago. Amazing and private zipping across lake Michigan.

WOW - best views in Chicago! - This was such a fun outing! The speed is so thrilling, and my family and I loved it! Great adventure would highly recommend.

Highly recommend. - Had a great trip with Captain Ken! Very knowledgeable and friendly. Nice mix of zipping around on Lake Michigan seeing downtown skyline from the lake and then experiencing downtown from the river. Highly recommend my 11 yr old boy loved it.

Best boat tour - Best boat tour I have ever been on. The boat was neat, the driver was well over qualified with background in coast guard. 10/10 would book again.

Amazing! Highly recommend! - This adventure was the highlight of our trip. Captain Ken was amazing and so knowledgeable. We learned so much about Chicago’s history and had a wonderful time out on the water. We always felt very safe as he is very skilled at what he does. Captain Ken is super funny which was a bonus! We would definitely re book with him.
