- Hook and Ladder - Hook and Ladder, along with its sister bar Halligan, features a secret doorway connecting them. The owner, a volunteer firefighter, has decorated the bar in tribute to Chicago’s Fire Department. Halligan’s building has been a bar for over a century! Hear about the bar and its spectral former owner, John Weiss, during our drink stop.
- Oz Park - As we walk by Oz Park, learn about its connection to one of the most celebrated authors, L. Frank Baum, who lived about 4 miles away. Named after the beloved Oz books, this charming park features Dorothy’s Playlot, the Emerald Gardens, and statues of the book’s characters!
The park is open until 11pm, and after dark, you might encounter some of its ghostly residents.
- King of Cups - On our route, we’ll pass Chicago’s first Spirit Lounge, King of Cups. This venue celebrates spirits of all kinds, offering craft cocktails and its own hauntings. They even provide nightly Tarot Card readings!

The Red Lion Pub - We’ll pause outside one of Chicago’s most renowned haunted bars to uncover its tales.
The Red Lion opened in 1984, following extensive renovations, in the former Dirty Dan’s Western Saloon. It was transformed from a smoke-filled, grimy rat haven into a classic English pub. It hosts multiple spirits seemingly connected to the site.
