A few things can go wrong so it's not worth $120 per person. - This experience is only worth $120 per person *if* the motor on your board works at the same speed as everyone else's the entire time. This is not guaranteed. The motor on my board kept getting caught on stuff from the river but even after it was fixed several times the board was not able to keep up with everyone else's (and I'm not a heavy person.) If this happens, for safety purposes, you must be left behind and stay with one of the guides, you'll have to focus on speeding up the entire time, you can't stop or enjoy the views, and you don't get any pictures or videos. Another person also had issues with their board but not as badly as I did. The website doesn't mention any of these possibilities, or the fact that the only changing areas include a porta potty or publicly in the park because the bathrooms are closed (FYI.) I understand that mishaps occur and things can't always run smoothly or according to plan due to unforeseen circumstances, but not a single part of this experience (including having difficulty contacting them since they're understaffed) was enjoyable so it's definitely not worth $120 per person. I unfortunately cannot recommend this tour and suggest finding another evening water activity on the Chicago river that's less likely to go wrong and can cost almost half the price while still being enjoyable.
