We’ll pick you up in a private vehicle from your hotel or rental (approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes drive).
- Hacienda Oxman Cenote - Take a refreshing swim in Cenote Samula, Xkeken, or Oxman. It’s the ideal way to cool down after exploring the ruins. There’s no need to rush—you can stay at the cenote as long as you like to fully enjoy the experience. Life vests will be provided for your safety.
- Valladolid - After savoring an authentic Yucatan lunch with your guide at one of the city’s top restaurants, you’ll have free time to explore the delightful colonial town. Be sure to visit the main square and convent areas, which are truly worth seeing. If you’re in the mood for shopping, there’s also free time for that.
After lunch, we’ll return you to your hotel or rental (approximately 2 hours drive).

Amazing experience - This was an amazing experience for our family. The best part was our private guide Eddy. He was very knowledgeable and helpful with everything. When you spend 9 hours on a tour, it’s important that you enjoy the tour guide’s company and he was fantastic. We actually miss him! Thanks the the great experience:)

Perfect Private Tour - Beat the Crowds! - Booking this private tour was absolutely the best decision—it helped us avoid crowds and wasted time picking up other guests. It really made the most of our day, allowing us to visit Chichén Itzá in the cooler morning hours, which made a big difference.
Our guide, Josh, was knowledgeable and engaging, giving us great insight into what we were seeing and helping bring the history to life. Our driver, Hugo, was excellent as well—friendly, professional, and made the journey smooth and comfortable throughout.
The highlight of the day was definitely the cenote—we arrived early when it was still quiet and uncrowded, which made it feel incredibly special. We also enjoyed a lovely traditional lunch in Valladolid, a beautiful spot that added to the overall experience.
The transportation was comfortable, and the added touches of drinks and snacks were much appreciated. Overall, a fantastic experience that I would highly recommend!

Best Private Tour - Our private tour exceeded every expectation. From the very beginning, our guide and driver were warm, engaging, and incredibly organized, setting a clear tone for a seamless day. Their thoughtful planning allowed us to move effortlessly through each stop, avoiding the typical lines and crowds, which made the experience feel both intimate and unrushed.
What truly set this tour apart was our guide Eddy’s depth of knowledge. His passion for Mayan history brought Chichen Itza and the surrounding region to life in a way that felt immersive and meaningful, rather than just informational. You could feel the history, not just hear it.
One of the highlights was the flexibility and attentiveness to our family. When my son mentioned wanting a bit more adventure, they happily adjusted our itinerary and took us to a stunning cenote where he could swing into the water from a rope. It ended up being one of his favorite moments of the entire trip.
Even the drive itself was enjoyable, as we had the chance to connect more personally with Eddy and learn about the culture beyond the typical tourist lens. Every detail felt intentional, thoughtful, and tailored.
An absolutely exceptional experience. I cannot recommend this private Chichen Itza tour highly enough.

Amazing Day of Learning & Fun - We had an absolutely wonderful day with Juan as our tour guide and Omar as our driver. We started early, but it was well worth it when we were the first people into Chichen Itza. What a magnificent site! The personal stories, history, and jokes from Juan were highlights. He is a seasoned veteran and helped with great photos, guidance, and history. The cenote was spectacular and lunch was tasty. Great little touches made us feel like VIPs.

Best Day Ever!!! - Amazing experience!!! We enjoyed our day so much. Eddy was unbelievably knowledgeable. Our driver was Rod and we felt relaxed and comfortable the whole day. Litterally could not have asked for anything more. Would definitely book with them again. Thanks for making our family trip that much more special.

Amazing tour with friendly, knowledgeable staff - would book again! - We enjoyed a fabulous day with Juan and Enrique! They arrived at our hotel bright and early (and on time) such that we made it to Chichen Itza early and enjoyed short lines and photos of just us! Juan had already purchased our adult tickets and was well-versed with how to efficiently obtain the children's tickets. He took us on an informative tour, focused on hitting the most populated areas first, and knowing exactly where the shady spots were to learn more about the site.
After the tour, they had plenty of cold drinks and snacks in the van ready for us, which was a pleasant and needed treat!
The cenote was a stunning and refreshing stop before a delicious lunch in Valladolid.
Juan patiently answered all of our questions and was incredibly knowledgeable. Enrique was a great driver and kept us all safe. They're a great team!
I would absolutely book another trip with Absolute Adventure Mexico next time we're in Cancun!!

Great family experience to Ek Balam and cenote - Great experience with Arturo visiting the ruins at Ek Balam and the nearby cenote. Arturo was knowledgeable, very friendly and attentive to our needs and preferences which was no easy feat with a group of 10.
Lunch was delicious at a local restaurant with great facilities.

Absolutely fabulous Absolute Adventure! - From the website, through booking and throughout the tour, our experience was well-organized, with clear communication. Juan was a great tour guide - knowledgeable, friendly and responsive to our interests (e.g. we preferred a quieter cenote); we felt very comfortable with him and would have no hesitation having him as a tour guide again. He even had restaurant options in Valladolid that accommodated our family’s dietary needs (one gluten-free and one vegan). Omar was a great driver - got us where we needed to go in a safe, timely way and also watching our belongings while we toured.
Don’t underestimate the importance of the early start Absolute Adventures has for this tour - we beat the crowds both at Chichén Itzá and the cenote we went to.

A fantastic value! - We used Absolute Adventure Mexico for three different tours while we were visiting Tulum and we are so grateful for the experiences! Each day had different guides and drivers who were all fantastic guides who knowledgeably and efficiently took us through different archeology sites. Joshua, Dulce and Cristina all passionately shared historical and archeological information with us and brought the ruins we toured back to life for us as we walked past groups of larger tours. We spent just the right amount of time to learn some facts and take a few pictures for us before moving on. Our drivers- Omar, Omar and Yos all got us where we were going quickly and safely and we felt lucky to have such great people show us around the sites including the cenotes they selected for us.
The guides do ALL of the logistics for you and it's such a valuable service to have. The cost includes the guides going to the tour site entry counters/kiosks to get your needed entry tickets and wristbands. They drive you there, they rent you the bikes, they bring the snorkel gear and they buy you your lunch! This value alone makes it a fantastic way to get a lot of adventuring in and still have time to relax on the beach afterwards! Thank you Absolute Adventure

Delightful Adventure - The tour started on time. Cristina explained everything to us multiple times. She was very knowledgeable and did a great job of educating us on all of the sites. Oman drove us safely to the various sites and was very professional. Thanks to Cristina and Oman excellent service, we had a delightful experience and I highly recommend them.
