Historical Chichen Itza - Limbert was an excellent guide! We were picked up on time, and learned about the area on the way to Chichen Itza. Once we arrived at the site we were able to see all of the amazing buildings and ruins. Limbert was able to explain the history along with context and the cultural significance of Chichen Itza. Afterwards, Limbert took us on a quick stop at a local market n that was wonderful. All in all a great day!

Jesus is the best, highly recommend this excursion. - Today we visited Chichen Itza and had the most incredible experience. Jesus was our tour guide and he made an incredible day even more incredible! He was full of local, historical and archeological knowledge, beyond belief. He got us in quickly, shared his Mayan culture and expertise from start to finish. We had an epic time learning about the history and culture of the Mayan people, plus he provided snacks and beverages constantly. After visiting the site (which is one of the best places we’ve ever visited), he took us to a local restaurant where we were welcomed with real Mexican cuisine and an ambience that will forever stay fondly in our memories. I highly recommend this experience and company. It was the cheapest we could find and have no complaints whatsoever. Ask for Jesus, he’s an absolute legend. We’ve made a gorgeous friend and can’t thank him enough. Book now for the trip of a lifetime. Thanks Tantum, thanks Jesus and thanks Yucatán. This was the best Christmas we’ve ever had! 🙏

Once in a lifetime opportunity with a great guide (Gulaziz Gulmirzoev) - Gulaziz Gulmirzoev took us on our private tour. We only wanted to go to chicen itza. My wife, myself and our 2 sons 12 and 16. His knowledge of the history and the Mayan culture is outstanding. We are really glad we got Gulaziz Gulmirzoev. Kept us and the kids engaged with fascinating facts and story’s. Thank you. The car was fully a/c with tv (you don’t need them) drinks, snacks and a great guide in the front. This is a once in a lifetime for most and it did not disappoint.

A perfect private half day trip to from Cancun to Chichen Itza. - The trip was exactly as how it was described on the page. Our guide was Asis. He was on time to pick us up and we were quickly on our way to Chichen Itza. The car was very clean and comfortable. Asis had refreshments and snacks ready for us. All the prices including entrance and all the fees for the tour are included as indicated in the tour description. Asis was an excellent guide with a wealth of information and answered all our questions. Also Asis is a great photographer 😜😄. He took very good pictures of us as well. We then returned promptly to the resort around 2pm. The his is great short half day trip and I would highly recommend anyone using Tantum for their visit to Cancun.

Personal and Reliable Travel Service: will use again! - We used Tantum Travel for the first time last December 2024 for a private tour to Chichen Itza. It was perfect! Asis was a wonderful guide, fun to talk to and learn from, and he took us to a great place for lunch. Everything was all-inclusive, including drinks, beer, snacks, in the very comfortable van. We were so pleased with our adventure, that we chose to use them this July 2025 to book our hotel and transportation to Catalonia Royal Tulum. Reservation process was easy, a quote was sent by Tanya. Quick responses to any email inquiries, every time. Leonardo transported us to the hotel and back, and Asis made sure we got a room that met our preferences. It was again a great experience, and we plan to contact Tantum Travel again for our next visit to Catalonia Royal Tulum.

5 Star Customized Experience Tour Company - 5 stars is not enough. Tantum Travel is absolutely top-notch! From the moment we landed, Asis and his team made everything seamless and first class. Our airport transfers were smooth and comfortable, thanks to the wonderful Leo, who was professional and friendly. Our first excursion was snorkeling in the stunning turquoise waters of Cozumel with Ana, who was not only personable and fun but also incredibly knowledgeable and professional. The next day was an unforgettable journey to Chichen Itza, Ek Balam, and a beautiful cenote. These were private, personal tours—no crowded buses, just authentic experiences. We were lucky enough to have Asis himself as our guide for the pyramids and the cenote. His passion for Mayan culture and history made the sites come alive. We even enjoyed lunch at an authentic Mayan restaurant, where we got to make our own tortillas and savor the most delicious cochinita pibil. If you’re planning a trip to Playa Del Carmen or anywhere in or around the Riviera Maya, I can’t recommend Tantum Travel enough. They go above and beyond to create a truly memorable experience!

Lack of historical depth for a private tour - While the logistics of the tour were fine and the guide was polite, the historical commentary was fairly basic and, at times, inaccurate. Given the cost of the private tour, especially at a site as significant as Chichén Itzá, we would have expected a stronger command of the history and cultural context. The experience would benefit from more thorough preparation and more precise explanations.
