Great experience. - The excursion to the Cajon del Maipo with Thermal Fountains and Picnic is a great experience. The organization at the exit and the communication were great and very clear. The van was great and at all times were being given information about the way. We went straight to the pools, which have a stunning view and are great. It was cold, so worry about taking a jacket to the pool exit. The rest of the walk is fun and the picnic is great. The place for lunch is a bit expensive than the normal Santiago, prepare financially for lunch.

A good tour to see the mountain and dip in the natural hot spring - Be ready that the driving to the hot spring is bumpy. We spent two hours around the spring with good mountain view. The tour guide was friendly, but if his English is better, I am sure he could have told a lot more stories about the history and traditions in Chile. Overall it was a good one.

Roughing it in the Andes - The guide was very thoughtful. The actual hot springs were very rustic: no hot water in the showers, mud everywhere. Be prepared for any kind of weather. It was 45 degrees F when we visited, and snowing. The picnic promised was really just hors d'oeuvres. We stopped a little before the scheduled picnic and had to buy our own lunches. We're glad we went, but not a primo experience.
