- Complejo Arqueológico Chinchero - Chinchero was renowned for its potato farming and exceptional textile production, a tradition that continues today. When the conquistadors arrived, the people of Chinchero were the last to resist the Inca Mateo Pumacagua.
- Moray - Moray served as a significant Inca agricultural laboratory, featuring circular terraces within a natural geological fault. This setup created microclimates for experimenting with and adapting crops like quinoa, kiwicha, potato, maca, and corn, showcasing their advanced agronomic expertise and water management skills.
- Salt Maras Peru - The Maras Salt Mines in the Sacred Valley of Cusco, Peru, have origins dating back to pre-Incan times (Wari culture, between 500-1100 AD). They utilize an underground saltwater spring to supply thousands of terraced pools created by locals, and have become a hub for trade. Salt is extracted three times a year in various colors: pink, white, and brown.
- Archaeological Park Ollantaytambo - Ollantaytambo is an “Inca town” in the Sacred Valley, constructed under the direction of the Inca Pachacuti as a strategic entry and control point for Machu Picchu, the jungle, and as a ceremonial site for the Sun God. A Temple of the Sun was built with massive stones; the method of transporting these polished granite stones to the top remains a mystery.
- Pisac - Pisac was a significant location as it houses the only Inca cemetery and mausoleums. Visitors can also observe the water fountains used for bathing the deceased. Pisac was also an agricultural hub, as evidenced by its terraced constructions adapted to the local terrain.

Joyful and Learning - We enjoyed a lot on our trip to the Sacred Valley of Incas with Fredy being our guide. Fredy was more like a long known friend with a great sense of humor and friendly attitude. Such is a guide that every traveller would look for. The tour was simply wonderful with a lot of learning about the Incas and their way of living. Thanks to Fredy for being patient with us and for answering all our queries.
