A wealth of knowledge - First and foremost, Bailey, our guide, is the absolute best! What a smart and enthusiastic guide. His love of nature and wildlife is contagious. So knowledgeable and so patient with us. We had some challenges with mobility and fighting the wind in our group and Bailey stuck with us. We learned so much on the trip and even though the horses moved away before we could get close it was still an amazing trip.

Best guided kayak experience - Such a beautiful guided tour with an extremely knowledgable guide who genuinely cares about wildlife and nature. The company was easy to work with and reasonably priced too. Bailey, our guide, made it a morning I’ll keep in my heart forever. Thank you!

Great guide, fun kayaking! - Had a great time kayaking, our guide Bailey took us thru the tall grass to where we found the ponies grazing. He knew a ton about the area & enthusiastically answered our many questions. He made us feel comfortable & gave us plenty of time to take many pictures of the ponies. Had a great trip!

Great kayak adventure!! - This was the second summer my daughter (9 years) and I got to experience the natural beauty of Chincoteague Bay by kayak guided by our informative and personable guide, Bailey! We learned about local ocean life, and of course, ponies! We’ll definitely book a tour again next summer!

Best way to see Assateague - Stephen was a great friendly tour guide. Very helpful and great problem solver when we kept getting beached lol. Good with beginner kayakers. Got super close to the horses and other animals, the view was incredible!

Excellent Tour Guide - Bailey was an excellent guide! He was very knowledgeable. He purposefully ensured he spent time talking with each kayaker. He assisted kayakers who needed assistance. We were fortunate that the horses were at the beach. It was a highlight!

No Ponies and Unsafe - While I understand there are inherent risks to kayaking and I did indeed sign the waiver and agree to it, the pictures and descriptions are misleading. You have to kayak from chincoteague to assateague and we did not go near the horses or see them which was the point of the adventure. We were never briefed otherwise. We were at the meet up point 15 minutes prior as asked, and were left without being contacted. The water was extremely choppy and difficult to navigate though both of us are in decent physical condition. I do not know how someone that is not young or extremely fit and active could navigate the waters we experienced. However, we received no safety briefing and were not asked about our age, physical conditions, kayaking experience, or briefed on water conditions for us to make our own personal assessment. I understand weather changes, but the water was rough and choppy before we entered. We did not make it back until it was 8:45pm and very dark while we were practically at a stand still fighting the current. Being on the bay/ocean in a kayak with choppy waters at night is not only frightening, it is irresponsible at best considering we did not know the conditions, and our guides did not know our capabilities. The guides did not have a flare, or a radio so in the event we tipped and were taken by the current, I am unsure of how we would have been found.
We asked several times if there was a spot we could bail out to avoid fighting the current up stream, across, and back down in the darkness, and just go straight across towards some condos, but it fell upon deaf ears.
Most families (notably those with younger or older people) would not be able to join this tour due to the nature of it.
This is certainly not to bash or tear down the company, solely to bring awareness and hopefully create some positive change.
