Emerald Vale Brewery - Experience the charm and culture of East London.
Emerald Vale is situated on the Jikeleza Route, often referred to as the “Gateway to the Wild Coast,” and offers much more than just a brewery experience. The local community is at the heart of everything: Artists and craftsmen showcase their talents, and visitors can join in by trying basket weaving or crafting traditional bead figures.
A standout feature is the performance by the local school choir, enchanting audiences with their melodic rhythms.
For those interested in nature, a short hike to the dam along the marked nature trail (1.1 km for the active) is available. Alternatively, a comfortable 4x4 vehicle trip to the dam and viewing points is an option.
Sampling the distinctive iced tea and gin on tap, along with the meticulously crafted beers, is a must. Additionally, the vegetable garden not only offers a visual treat but also supplies fresh ingredients for the snacks served.

A cultural, traditional and cuisine experience whilst emerged in wonderful nature and talents of local Craftsman and Artists. You can do some handicrafts, make your own souvenir and marvel at nature on the short hike or drive. The brewmaster will be happy to take you behind the scenes and give you an insight into the production of the beers and iced tea. If you want, you can head to the vegetable garden to see what is grown locally. Just make sure you are back when the school choir pays a visit - the traditional songs and dances will give you goosebumps! A source of immense pride, as they add a touch of cultural brilliance to your experience. Of course, typical snacks and the local drinks will be provided for your physical well-being. A wonderful trip to discover East London from a different perspective and really great day out on the East Coast of South Africa’s Sunshine Coastal region.
