Shigeru was a great guide... - Shigeru was a great guide through the East Imperial Gardens. He was very detailed about each part of the garden. He was very well educated about plants. And me and my son were vary happy about the tour with Shigeru.

Great tour - Very educational, and a beautiful space away from the busy city. We learned a lot about the history of the castle and Japan in general. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and gave us an understanding that we never would have gotten on our own.

Excellent views on the historical discovery of the Tokyo Imperial Palace district. - Our guides Ishida and Mari were excellent with great knowledge of the area. They even went to the trouble of assisting with luggage storage!!

Great guide! Lovely walk - Our guide ISHIDA-san was excellent! He made arrangement via text to make sure to meet us in a convenient place (it was raining lightly) - he had many informative photos of Edo period and knew so many interesting details. Most importantly he was friendly and had spent time in Oklahoma! We had a wonderful chat while walking from one important place to another. It is important to know that the Imperial palace itself is a residence and not tourable. This tour is the gardens and the history. Enjoy!!!! We did! It was just the two of us and the guide. Perfect!!

Imp. Pal. - That there is no access to the imperial Palace, rather only the east Gardens. When offering a tour, it’s important to share all details.

Private tour on the grounds - We had a wonderful tour with Hirasjima (I hope the spelling is correct). Our guide sometimes needed to search for a certain word in English, but his knowledge was phenomenal.

Excellent guide Natsumi - The Sunrise Walking tour of the Edo palace ruins was educational and interesting. We were hoping to see the Imperial Palace in Tokyo, but instead we had a detailed walking tour through the Edo palace ruins and gardens. It was interesting learning about the castle design and history. This is especially so because this was one of the castles referred to in the TV series SHOGUN. The main structure was destroyed by earthquakes and fire but there is a smaller structure still standing. Having a local guide, Natsumi, made all the difference. This inspired my interest in samurai and Japanese castles and set up further exploration in Kanazawa and Kochi. Kochi castle is basically a fully rebuilt Japanese castle.

Not what was expected - Our guide Naoko was charming and knowledgable. But to be honest, the name of the tour led us to believe that we'd see the Imperial palace and the gardens there. But instead we paid for a tour of gardens that are free to the public and information is freely available.
