Wulong Karst Geological Park - Wulong is renowned for its unique karst landscapes, featuring breathtaking stone bridges, caves, pits, eroded sinkholes, and gorges. Wulong gained international fame through Michael Bay’s blockbuster movie, Transformers: Age of Extinction, which showcased the stunning beauty of the Three Natural Bridges in Wulong. In addition to this famous movie location, other fascinating natural attractions in the area include Furong Cave, Longshuixia Gap, and Fairy Mountain.
Wulong Tiankeng Three Bridges - After enjoying a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, your delightful Chongqing Wulong karst tour begins with the Three Natural Bridges, the main scenic highlight of this world heritage site. These three massive stone arch bridges, exquisitely crafted by nature, are unparalleled wonders. Within the serene scenic area, you can appreciate the rugged beauty of the mountain bridges and gorges by strolling along the narrow path at the valley’s base.
During the 2 to 2.5-hour visit, you will also visit an ancient staging post near Qinglong Bridge, built during the Tang Dynasty (618 - 907) for official business and guest reception. The wooden-structured courtyards are well-preserved, with over 20 rooms remaining.
After some leisure time to explore, your Wulong trip from Chongqing concludes. You will be transported back to your hotel, arriving around 18:30.

Chongqing - In the morning, your driver and tour guide will meet you at your hotel lobby at 09:00 am and transfer you to Chongqing city center for a city day tour.
People’s Assembly Hall - The first stop on this tour is The People’s Hall of Chongqing, a landmark building completed in 1954 to commemorate China’s resistance war and the establishment of the new government. It is also one of the top 10 classic architectural works in 20th-century Asia.
Stilwell Museum/Former Residence of General Stilwell (Shidiwei Jiangjun Jiuju) - Next, you will visit the Chongqing Stilwell Museum - The Flying Tiger Memorial, which served as an important lodging place for the KMT government to accommodate VIPs during the war against Fascism.
Ciqikou (Porcelain Port) - After the museum visit, your guide will take you to enjoy authentic Chongqing Hot Pot (steam bowl), a well-known and popular dish in China. You will experience this hot and spicy dish for lunch to understand its popularity. In the afternoon, you will visit Ciqikou old town. Ciqikou got its name from the ancient Chinaware production. It is also a great place to explore local folklore.
E’ling Park - Your final stop in Chongqing will be Eling Park, the highest scenic spot where you can enjoy panoramic views of the entire city.
Chongqing - At the end, you will be driven back to your hotel, concluding the tour.

Chongqing - Today, you will head to Dazu County for a full day of sightseeing (your guide will meet you at 08:30 in your hotel lobby).
The Dazu Rock Carvings - This is the birthplace of the remarkable Dazu rock carvings, created from the late Tang dynasty (618~907) to the early Song dynasty (960~1127).
With a Buddhist theme, the Dazu cliffside carvings are located in Beishan, Baodingshan, Nanshan, Shimenshan, and Shizhuanshan. You will spend the day visiting the Baodingshan carvings, situated about 527 meters above sea level. It mainly consists of the Dafowan rock carvings area and the Xiaofowan rock carvings area.
Baoding Mountain Carved Stone - Next, you will visit the well-preserved Baodingshan Carvings. Green buses will take you directly to Baodingshan. You will see mountain cliffs densely adorned with Buddhist and Taoist statues, as well as celebrity figures from the late Tang Dynasty (618 - 907). Approximately 10,000 Buddha statues are carved on the 500-meter cliff in the U-shaped Dafowan. It is said to be a long narrative mural with extensive commentary but no repeated content. You can explore at your own pace to closely examine the precious grotto art. After the tour, a sumptuous lunch will be served at a fine restaurant, allowing you to savor authentic Chongqing cuisine.
Chongqing Railway Station - After lunch, you will drive to Chongqing West Railway Station, where a train to Chengdu awaits you. You may take the G1756 17:59-19:31. The train journey takes approximately 1.5 hours.
成都站 - Upon arrival in Chengdu, you will be promptly picked up and transferred to your Chengdu hotel (Driver only, no guide).

Chengdu - In the morning, your driver and guide will meet you at 8:00 am at your Chengdu hotel and transfer you to the Chengdu Panda Base, a 30-minute drive, 15 km away.
Giant Panda Breeding Research Base (Xiongmao Jidi) - First, you will visit Chengdu’s Giant Panda Breeding Research Base, home to over 80 of China’s iconic pandas. Most are the familiar black and white variety, but the Base also houses several smaller, lesser-known red pandas.
You’ll observe the animals eating and playing in a carefully maintained habitat that closely resembles their natural environment. You’ll also learn about the efforts of scientists and ecologists to protect the few remaining wild pandas and expand the captive population. Notably, over 100 bears have been born at the Base since 1987.
The Base gained even more significance after the 2008 Sichuan earthquake, with eight bears relocated here from the severely damaged Wolong reserve. Your visit provides both moral and financial support for the ongoing conservation efforts.
Chengdu Renmin Park - Next, visit Renmin Park, a comprehensive garden for cultural heritage collection and entertainment. Locals in Chengdu often relax by drinking tea here. You won’t truly understand the “Capital of Leisure” lifestyle until you visit Renmin Park. Crowds gather in the park’s shade from sunrise. The best activities include visiting a teahouse, ordering a cup of tea, reading for an entire afternoon, thinking about nothing, or chatting with old friends. Enjoying the slow life in Chengdu, you may suddenly realize you are living a happy life.
Jinli Pedestrian Street - After lunch, take a private car to Jinli old street for an impressive visit to the famous old street. Time slips away quietly as you stroll through lively streets filled with delicious local snacks, delicate artifacts, and interesting folk shows.
Chengdu - At the end, your guide will accompany you back to your hotel.

Chengdu - After breakfast at your hotel, your driver and guide will meet you at your hotel lobby at 09:00 am and transfer you to Leshan, a 2.5-hour drive, 150 km away.
Leshan Giant Buddha (Da Fo) - Dating back to the 8th century, the Giant Buddha of Leshan is the largest carved stone Buddha and the tallest pre-modern statue in the world. It was carved from the cliffs of Lingyun Shan to calm the turbulent waters of the three rivers flowing beneath its gaze. Stairs carved into the cliff connect the area at the Buddha’s feet with the land above, allowing you to view this astonishing sight from various vantage points. The views are stunning, taking in the river scene and Leshan’s skyline.
Upon arrival in Leshan, you can have lunch at a restaurant with a view of the Giant Buddha. You’ll then explore the Giant Buddha and enjoy fantastic views of the surrounding landscape from atop the Buddha’s head.
You will then visit Lingyun Temple and Museum to gain deeper insight into the history of this remarkable Buddhist site and learn the story behind the carving of the Giant Buddha.
Chengdu - Afterwards, take a private car back to your hotel in Chengdu city center or airport/train station, a 2.5-hour drive as well. This marks the end of your 5-day Chongqing to Chengdu tour services.
