- Liziba Station - 9am: Take a taxi to Liziba Station. Liziba subway station is widely popular on social media. Although not a tourist attraction, its uniqueness lies in the fact that this subway station is situated in the middle of a building. Here, you will take a rail and experience the light rail passing through the residential building.
- E’ling Park - 9:30am: Chongqing E’ling Park, located in the Yuzhong District, was established in 1909 and was once the private garden of the wealthiest local resident. Ascend to the Lansheng Pavilion within the park for a breathtaking view of the magnificent convergence of the Yangtze and Jialing rivers. It is also an excellent spot for a bird’s-eye view of Chongqing city.
- Shancheng Lane - 10:40am: Stroll along Shancheng Alley. The Shancheng Alley in Chongqing stretches about 1.5 kilometers and is a quaint alleyway filled with historical charm and the essence of everyday life. The lane is paved with green slate and built along the mountainside, winding and twisting with traditional Chongqing architecture on both sides, adorned with greenery and blooming flowers. As Chongqing has developed, many small alleys and city gates have disappeared, making this a remnant of the memories of the older generation of Chongqing residents.
- The Ropeway Of Yangtze River - 12:30pm: Take a taxi to Dongshuimen Bridge to enjoy a unique view of the Chongqing Yangtze River Cableway from a distance. The Chongqing Yangtze River Cableway is celebrated as the “First Aerial Corridor over the Yangtze River” and the “local Elevator”. This cableway has been operational since 1987, spanning nearly 1.8 kilometers in length. It moves at a speed of 6 meters per second and takes about 4 minutes to travel from one bank of the Yangtze River to the other. It serves as a mode of transportation for daily commutes of the citizens. With the construction of the Yangtze River Bridge, it has gradually become a traditional means of connecting the two banks.
- Chaotianmen Market - 12:50pm: Walk to Chaotianmen Wholesale Market. This is the most representative place in Chongqing where the transition from the old to the new is filled with a sense of cyberpunk science fiction. Also, this is where the “bangbang men” or porters are most concentrated. It is very close to Raffles City (Chaotianmen Pier), where a break will be taken.
- Hongya Cave - 2pm: Walk to Hongya Cave. The Hongya Cave is over 2,000 years old and has been restored multiple times to preserve its beauty. It is one of the most renowned places to watch Chongqing’s night view and the most crowded scenic spot. Therefore, Hongya Cave is always bustling with traffic and tourists at night.
- Jiefangbei Square - 3pm: Jiefangbei Square. This is the heart of Chongqing city. It houses the People’s Liberation monument at the center of the pedestrian walking boulevard. There are plenty of dining and shopping options in the vicinity. It is also a great place for people-watching. The tour concludes here.
