Amazing way to see the Peninsula! - My wife and I had so much fun riding around Akaroa on the motor scooters. The scooters were incredibly easy to use and the trail was easy to follow with very little traffic along the way. This was a great way to spend a day in Akaroa, especially being able to go at your own pace, fantastic views and hikes were on the menu as well. Andrew was very easy to work with and was incredibly nice. We got back to Akaroa around 3pm and were able to see the town and have a drink after as well.

An absolute blast!! - Couldn't recommend this experience enough. Everything was super easy, from getting picked up at our accomodation, user-friendly bikes and having them collected at the end! Andrew was awesome, made sure we were prepped with everything we needed to know to feel confident for the day ahead.
We felt it was the best way to explore parts of the banks peninsula, allowing you to easily reach bays and have the opportunity to stop at any point. The bikes are well suited to this area, nice and smooth to ride and handled the hills very well. Something I feel would have been more stressful to manage in a car!
Very handy step by step guide book provided great detail and little extras for us to stop by along the way.
Wicked and unforgettable experience, thank you Andrew!!

Amazing - Tour was an unreal way to explore the area. The scooters were easy to ride, powerful enough for the hills, and perfect for taking in the scenery without feeling rushed.
Being self-guided made the experience even better — we could stop whenever we wanted, take photos, chill at the beaches, and really enjoy the peninsula at our own pace. The route is stunning the whole way, with quiet roads, coastal views, and plenty of great spots to pull over.
Everything was well organised from start to finish, and the Andrew explained everything clearly before we set off. If you’re looking for something fun, scenic, and a bit different to do in Akaroa, this is 100% worth it and a bargain. Would absolutely recommend.

Akaroa exploring - What a great way to see lots of the Banks peninsular! The bikes are great fun and easy to use, the tour that is suggested is perfect for the time available... lots to see and do. The rates are very reasonable seeing as Andrew collects you, makes sure you're comfortable with operating the bikes and ready to have fun! If you want to get a real feel for the bays around Akaroa, this is the thing to do! Just do it!

Probably the best way to see the east coast of Banks Peninsula! - This is probably the best way to see the east cost of the Bank's Peninsula! We really had a lot of fun cruising with these bikes from bay to bay, taking in the awesome views. The bikes are just great and easy to ride and a great way of getting around. The entire trip is well curated: Andrew will pick you up at your accomodation and take you and the bikes with his car to the ridge just above Little Akaloa Bay where you get the last instructions on the trip and start your journey. There is a small but very neat itinerary booklet that will guide you through the trip. You start by descending down to Little Akaloa Bay on sealed road, then make your way over to Okains Bay through beautiful scenery, also on a sealed but narrow, winding road. You'll pass fields with sheep and cattle and behind every turn the scenery gets even more beautiful. Down in Okains Bay, we visited the General Store for a coffee and headed to the beach. The following section to Le Bons Bay is the most beautiful but also most challenging, since it involves mostly gravel roads, some of it quite steep, both upwards and downwards. From Le Bons Bay you climb back up to the summit road on a sealed road, and then follow the summit road with stunning views over Akaroa and the bay back to Akaroa. The bikes will be picked up again at your accomodation, making everything very conventient and easy. The trip is about 60 km long and I definitely recommend to plan a full day since there is so much to see and to do so that we had trouble to fit it all in since we started at noon. You also get a picnic set and ice pack, so that you can enjoy a cool and fresh lunch someplace along the way. In fact, there are so many good spots for a picnic so that it's really hard to chose from. We will definitely do it again next time we're in Akaroa but then only the full day option. One side note: if you never went on a motorbike, mountain bike, e-Bike or e-scooter on dirt roads before the steep gravel road sections might be challanging. However, I strongly encourage everyone to accept the challange since the bikes are really good to drive and they are not very tall so that you can always put your feet on the ground when feeling unstable or slipping. It will definitely be worth the adventure.

Fantastic way to see Banks Penninsula - My friends and I had a fantastic time! Andrew made sure we knew how to operate the scooters and let us try these before we went on our adventure. We loved his handy guidebook and recommendations of where to stop and take in the views. He even provided us with picnic essentials to eat the lunch we brought by the beach. It was easy to arrange pick-up time after we grabbed a drink at the end. Of all the things we did in New Zealand, this was our favorite experience. Thanks so much!

The best way to see the peninsula! - This is one of the best things I have done while traveling. We had so much fun! Andrew was very thoughtful and helpful getting us started and provided everything we needed. The views were amazing and the motorbikes were such a unique way to see the area full of sheep dotted hills, blue waters and secluded beaches. I would do this again for sure!

The best thing you can do on the South Island! - This was spectacular. Andrew was wonderful: he showed us how to use the scooters, gave us some maps, a picnic basket with a blanket (we brought our own food), and set us free. It felt like we really got to explore New Zealand on our own, going through quiet villages and sitting on beaches where we were basically the only people there. I think we saw a total of three cars for the first five hours! Just gorgeous, and so easy. I came away feeling like I'd had an adventure that very few people get to have. How wonderful is that????
