Next, venture out of the inner city to Mona Vale, a historic homestead and gardens. Here, you’ll have time to take a leisurely stroll through 5.5 hectares of beautifully landscaped gardens, ponds, and fountains.
Then, head up to the ‘Sign of the Takahe,’ a historic building perched atop the Cashmere Hills, offering stunning views of the city, Canterbury Plains, and the Southern Alps. Return to the city and travel to the Port of Lyttleton, passing through the harbour tunnel to the seaside suburb of Sumner and Cave Rock before concluding the tour back in the central city.

Consider combining the Christchurch Sightseeing tour with admission to the International Antarctic Center. The center simulates the Antarctic environment with a Snow and Ice Experience, the Blue Penguin Encounter, and an exciting Hagglund ride.
