Visit 3 of Christchurch’s top attractions with a sightseeing pass that can be used on different days, allowing you to set your own pace. Soar above the city on the Christchurch Gondola; float through town on an Avon River Punt cruise; and hop on and off the Christchurch Tram to see key downtown sights. Each ride includes informative commentary that details the landmarks and history of Christchurch, from early explorers through to modern day history.
- Transport to and from the Gondola is not included in ticket cost. Transport cost additional via #8 public bus.
- Please note the attractions get very busy especially if a cruise ship is in port and there may be a wait time at the attractions entry due to increased demand
- Tram ticket is an all day pass which enables you to hop on and off as you please
- You can arrive anytime between the opening hours for the Tram and Gondola, but you will need to prebook a Punting timeslot prior to arrival by contacting the supplier directly
- Tickets can be collected from the Booking Office located in Cathedral Junction or from any attraction on arrival
- Wheelchairs can access some of the trams if under 220kg & the Gondola if no wider than 600mm. Punting is not wheelchair accessible unfortunately
- Some people with mobility issues may struggle with access to trams due to the height and Punting due to the low level. Small steps and handrails are provided for Trams
- 1 wheelchair hoist is available to use for the trams from Stop 1 in Cathedral Junction

Avon punting - A must for a wonderful relaxing 30 minutes. Lovely gardens trees and geese m, ducks and even eels. Well explained by punter

Great experience!! - Our reservation somehow got lost between the booking office and the punting shed but Reese quickly and efficiently got us rescheduled at our original time so we didn’t have to miss anything. He was a very gracious and polite young man and we appreciated his help, thank you Reese!!!

Great way to tour around Christchurch - Trams, punting and gondolas... what's not to love! We had booked the punting portion on what turned out to be a rainy morning but luckily were able to reschedule to the afternoon. Such a relaxing activity and beautiful scenery.
The tram ride was interesting and educational. It's great to see these still running.
And then we were able to do the gondola ride on a separate day, so it makes it very nice to be able to split these up. You can take city bus #8 up to the gondola for $8NZ roundtrip (cash only, pay on the bus), bargain! All in all, would highly recommend.

Christchurch sightseeing pass - The punting was a nice 30 minute ride down the Avon which was a very tranquil and relaxing experience. Nice commentary by Abi.
Thoroughly enjoyed!
The Gondola experience was nice.
Great views, walked around the area and nice cafe to relax at afterwards.
Took the #8 bus from central station and very inexpensive and convenient.
The Tram was nice with commentary from the driver. We took the full loop initially and then unlimited hop on off.
Best to do it early in the day as it got really crowded and unable to board towards the later part of the day.

Great way to see the Christchurch - Bought the Activities Pass which included the Gondola, Punting on the Avon and HoHo tram so a great way to get to see it all and a nice way to get around the city.
Took the gondola ride first on the way into the city from the cruise ship; cloudy but still gorgeous views and lots of history on the walls at the top.
Got on the HoHo and cruised around town easily, especially with lots of construction going on. We were able to city sites including Botanical Gardens and the Cardboard Church.
Punting on the Avon was also well worth it. Beautiful, peaceful and punting operators were informative and engaging.
Just be sure to read the details as the gondola is a 20 minute bus ride away from the city.

Relaxing and informative experience - This was such a nice relaxing experience to do in the city. The guide was very informative and friendly. Also good to see a girl doing it, girl power haha.

Great fun trip - Picked up tram which was so quirky. Comfortable. Pointed on the Avon after a walk in the botanic gardens. Fun guy steering the boat. Shuttle to gondola and fabulous views. Bus back to town. Beautiful city

A Fun Day Punting and Riding the Gondola - We had a fun day using the attractions pass in Christchurch. We picked up our tickets about 9 AM and then had a a quick breakfast at Riverside. We then had a 30 minute punting (boat ride) down the Avon river with a guide - very relaxing. We then went up on the gondola and the vistas were fantastic. We also saw 3 para gliders jump off the mountain and float away. We have seen para gliders from a long way off but never up close. Very cool. We then took a detour and went to the Antarctic center and by the time we got back the tram had stopper running- we recently rode the tram in New Orleans recently and recommend it at least to get around Christchurch in a leisurely way.

A worthwhile and good value sightseeing pass. - We bought the 2-day Christchurch Sightseeing Pass for the Gondola, the Punting and the Tram ride, which was good value. We loved the Gondola ride up into the mountains; the views are spectacular. The Tram ride is a great way to see the city. We started off by visiting the Botanic Gardens, which are fabulous. The roses were outstanding. The punting on the Avon was a little disappointing; it was too short (just 30 minutes), but the wildlife and the chance to take photographs were excellent.

Great day out but hidden costs - This was a great ticket to buy, and easy way of doing three attractions. We had a great day. However, on their website gives the information to get to the gondola as "travel from the central city (the complex is a 15-minute drive from central Christchurch, or a 25-minute ride on public bus #8). We thought that as the shuttle bus to the gondola was at the stop we woud use this. Nowhere did it say on the website is would be $15 return per person extra (6 of us). I suggest this is made clear on the website as we would have been able to make better plans if we had known.
