• Canterbury Region - The journey begins by departing from Ōtautahi Christchurch, famously known as New Zealand’s Garden City. As the tour progresses north towards Kaikōura, the experienced guide will highlight key attractions and share interesting facts about the broader Canterbury region.
• Kaikōura - The tour’s main attraction! Upon reaching Kaikōura, the guide will treat you to a traditional Kiwi fish and chip lunch. Following this, several options will be presented to make the most of your visit. For those interested in exploring the town, there is a charming and diverse selection of local shops to enjoy. Guests can also opt for a relaxing walk along the Kaikōura Peninsula to observe local wildlife, including New Zealand Fur Seals, various seabirds, and occasionally a pod of dolphins! Other activities include visiting Mangamaunu Bay, a favored surfing location with breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean. Additionally, whale watching (by boat or air), dolphin watching, kayaking, and eco-zip experiences can be arranged for you and your group (booked and sold separately).
• Waipara - If Time Allows: Should time permit, a stop at Waipara, a celebrated wine region surrounded by lush vineyards and rolling hills, will be included. Here, you can sample a variety of locally produced wines from a family-owned vineyard. If wine isn’t your preference, beer and non-alcoholic options are also available! • Christchurch - After an incredible day in Kaikōura, the tour returns to the Garden City. Relax and unwind after a day filled with breathtaking landscapes and wildlife encounters. With a camera roll full of memories, this day is sure to be one to boast about!
