Should the afternoon tour option with lunch be selected the Plattered lunch has been arranged at the first winery you visit on the day of travel.

Perfect afternoon - This was a perfect afternoon! Our driver was friendly and informative, and he kept us on track for visiting the three wineries. We were picked up right from our apartment which was so convenient. We were served a delicious lunch, and we were seated and served immediately at each winery. We loved it!

Lovely wine tour - Our 3 winery tour an hour’s drive north of Christchurch was lovely.
The driver was helpful.

Great day visiting the wineries of Christchurch! - Absolutely fantastic day visiting wineries in Christchurch! Our tour driver Joseph was the best...so friendly and informative! This tour company was so helpful and kind while insuring we made our tour when we experienced a bit of a snafu getting from our cruise shuttle to our meeting spot. The wineries we visited were wonderful. Great wine and a great lunch. I would highly recommend and would definitely do this tour again!

Fun wine tasting in Waipara - Our driver, Jude, was friendly and helpful. Our van broke down at the first winery we visited. They sent a replacement van while we did our wine tasting and had lunch. We had no wasted time even though we had this mishap. The three wineries we visited had good wines and friendly staff. I was solo, but had fun with the other six “strangers” in our group!

Great day wine tasting! - The tour was exactly as advertised: we were picked up and driven to three different wineries to taste different reds, whites and rosés, and have a meal at one of the wineries. Meal was adaptable to different diet types. Our group size (9) was very manageable and pleasant. Small suggestion: it would be great if the wineries could give cards with the names of the wines tasted (or write them on a blackboard so we could photograph) so we could have them for future reference/purchase. Our guide (Rob) was very pleasant.

Nice Wine Tour on a Warm and Breezy Day - We had a very interesting day and turned lemons into lemonade! We were picked up at our hotel and my wife and I were the last of 7 guests so had to sit at the back of the van. The van’s ac was not working and it was a warm day so not the most pleasant ride to the first vineyard - about 45 minutes. As we pulled into Waipara Springs winery the van died - right in the middle of the lot! This is where we made lemonade! We had and enjoyable tasting and then were served a nice lunch. At that time our driver let us know that the company was sending a new van. So the group ordered 2 bottles of wine and we had a nice hour or so to enjoy them on this warm and breezy day! The new van arrived and we set off to our second winery - Georges Road. We had a nice tasting provided by the owner and I loved his tee shirt so much I bought one. At our third winery Torlese we had some nice wines but the port they make is so good. Unfortunately they can’t ship those wines! If you go hopefully you will have room in your bags for a bottle - we didn’t. We had a nice group on our tour and the weather and wines were enjoyable but the initial van was disappointing. The second one was much newer and comfortable- we would have given the tour 5 stars if they had sent that van first.

Too quick to taste the wine - While I usually love wine tours, this wasn't a tour that I enjoyed.
I think the problem was when it starts, with a pickup at 1:30, the driver we had was rushing us through all the tastings. It wasn't then a subtle rush, it was a very clear,"let's go, we have to move".
One person is the group quipped about how they were pouring the tastings so quickly that there wasn't enough time to tell the difference in what we were drinking.
If you're looking to enjoy your tasting and learn about wine, maybe skip this tour. If you're looking for a fast pace, drink as fast as you can type of vibe, this might be your jam.

No Wine For Me - The tour operator contacted us 4 months before the event with a time change which we acknowledged. However, no updates or reminders were sent as we got closer to the date. Therefore, we missed the tour. ALL correspondence, including our tickets and text alerts from Viator, including the original time of noon. It would have been great if there was a little more communication between Viator and the tour operator such that Viator updated all of its alerts, and the tickets, to the new time. We were very upset to miss the tour, and even more upset that neither Viator nor the tour operator has voiced any apologies, not have offered a refund.
