- Villa Montefiori - 11:00 am Visit to First winery in Valle de Guadalupe for wine tastings. Wineries change in every tour. Wineries to be determined by operator.
- Baron Balche - 12:00 pm Visit to Second winery for more wine tastings and tour of the wine making process. Cheese platter will be served with wine. Wineries subject to change based on availability.
- Finca Altozano - 2:00 pm Time for delicious farm to table, five course BajaMed lunch at famous Finca Altozano by chef Javier Plascencia.
- Vina de liceaga - 4:00 pm Visit to Third and last winery for more wine tastings and relaxation.

Start your journey from San Diego and embark on the finest wine tasting tours to the Guadalupe Valley! Plan a visit to three artisanal winemakers at the valley’s heart, relishing the savory reds, delightful whites, and exquisite roses on offer. A detailed tour of the winemaking process is included, followed by a delectable BajaMed-style meal at Finca Altozano. The tour kicks off at 9:00 am and returns to San Diego by around 7:30 pm. Keep in mind that times, wineries, and the restaurant can change due to availability and weather situations. Enjoy the exclusivity of this private tour with a van dedicated only for your group, free from the presence of outsiders. A minimum booking for six passengers is required. If there’s a specific winery you wish to explore, let us know and we’ll do our best to accommodate your request in our itinerary.

So fun, safe, and delicious - For the Private Guadalupe Valley tour, our guide Mario picked our crew of 7 up at our hotel in downtown San Diego. He was at the hotel early, which was great. The border crossing into Tijuana was easy, since we had a guide and driver. To be more comfortable, we switched from a small van to a large Sprinter van after the border crossing. The ride down to our wine tours was pretty along the coast. Mario gave tidbits of info all along the way with respect to the areas and culture. We were assured that we could stop for rest room breaks as often as needed. Our tour (which is different each time because there are over 100 wineries in the valley) included three beautiful locations and a restaurant that served a incredible family-style meal for our table that included enough vegetarian dishes to meet the needs of our veggie eaters. Although all of the wineries were fantastic and beautiful and the wine good for the wine drinkers, our group decided our fav was the first winery, which we did not purchase wine from at the time. However, Mario has a link on his follow up email, to order online from the locations we visited. We were supposed to observe the wine making process, but we did not do this part of the trip. Locations visited: Clos de Tres Cantos, Vinos Marlott, and Magoni; With our meal at Finca Altozado. All recommended.

Fabulous 2 day Valle Wine Tour - We had an amazing two-day wine tour in Valle de Guadalupe with my family! This was our second tour with Mario, whose deep knowledge of the region’s wineries and restaurants made the experience even more special. The convenience of round-trip pickup and drop-off in San Diego made the trip effortless.
Mario curated a perfect balance of intimate boutique wineries and well-known larger establishments. We especially loved discovering the smaller, hidden-gem wineries that you might not easily find online.
Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we can’t wait for our next Valle adventure!

Best intro to Valle! - This was the perfect intro into Valle de Guadalupe! Mario picks you up in San Diego, explains the process for crossing the border and gets you into Valle to enjoy great wines! Then he explained the process for getting back into San Diego and it was such a great trip!

Wine tour - Mario was excellent and planned a perfect day for us. We went to 3 wineries and an amazing lunch. The wineries were beautiful and one even had tequila tasting for my husband.

Best worry free wine tour - Had the best time . Mario was wonderful , would highly recommend . Mario planned everything for us and all we had to do was have a great time , which we did . I will definelty book with him again .

Bachelorette weekend trip - This was my second time. The wineries and restaurants were amazing. We loved Finca and Oja. Each tasting had delicious wines. The views were beautiful and we took a lot of photos. Mario is very knowledgeable of each place he took us. We appreciated how seamless our transitions between each spot were. I recommend this tour to anyone. Valle is beautiful and traveling with Mario makes it easy!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! - Baja Wine Tours was an absolutely amazing experience! This was the second time I have gone because I had an amazing trip with my 5 girlfriends the last time. This last time my other friend made a 12 person or so booking. What was nice is we could change the reservation and add more people to the booking if more people wanted to come. From start to finish, everything was seamless and so well-organized. Our tour guide was incredible, knowledgeable, friendly, and made the entire day so much fun. Our group was a little rowdy (loud and obnoxious lol) and the tour guide, Rene, didn’t bat an eye and made sure we were safe and the group stayed together. They took us to some beautiful wineries with stunning views and fantastic wine. The whole experience felt personalized and relaxed, making it the perfect way to explore Valle de Guadalupe. If you’re considering a wine tour in Baja, I can’t recommend this company enough!! We’ll definitely be booking with them again! I recommend the trip to everyone who wants to go to Mexico and visit the wineries. You feel extremely safe the entire time. Mario and Rene you guys are the best tour guides in Mexico!!!!

Amazing food and wine in the Valle! - Three couples took a private wine tasting tour with Mario. Everything was perfect from the minute he picked us up to when he dropped us off. Mario is an excellent tour guide. The commentary and information on the drive was interesting and useful. He arranged for tastings at 3 beautiful properties. The lunch at Finca Altozano was delicious and the views were gorgeous. Everyone agreed it was a perfect day trip!
