Enjoyable visit to Lesedi Cultural Village - Had a great time at Lesedi Cultural Village. We were picked up from our accommodation by John, our guide, who was great. He was very friendly and gave us lots of information en route to the village. At the village he accompanied us throughout our visit ensuring we didn't miss anything.
We were greeted with a lovely musical welcome. The drumming interaction was great and we had a guide who showed and explained about 5 different tribes. We were then given a great African drumming and dance show.
After this we had lunch which was an amazing buffet.
We were then driven back to our accommodation by John.
We had a lovely experience and couldn't thank John enough who was an amazing guide.

Would go again - This is a "must" for anyone who truly wants to understand the cultural history of South African native tribes. They present their history and culture through vocal presentations, physical "villages", dress, singing, and dance, followed by a very good lunch. We were enthralled and rate this one of our best experiences in the country.

A great guide and a rich experience. - Steve was an excellent guide. Very informative and easy to talk to during the drive to and from the village.
The village itself was a rich experience and I felt a good use of the one day I had to spend in the area.

Insight into authentic SA culture - Great trip to lesedi cultural village. An amazing introduction to the native tribes and some of their traditions. My guide Mo picked me up at my hotel where he also delivered me back😀 he gave me a great insight into SA during our drive and made me feel welcomed

Visiting Lesedi with Mo - the tour guide - Visiting Lesedi is always a great experience. I can reccomend this place to every newcomer to South Africa. This was my second visit to the village. Our tour guide Mo has taken good care of us. What puts him personally apart from other tour guides is that he has this attention to detail. Based on his years of experience he anticipates where and when you should be/stand/queue in a given moment to get the best experience and so was also this time. It was our second tour with Mo. Unfortunately, Steve, the owner of the company, will not schedule him for every tour you can book with Stepehenson Adventures :-) So book early in advance

Awesome experience - Steve was great! He even stopped along the road when he spotted some giraffes for me to take a picture. He stayed with us and was a great host filled with information regarding the area.

Stephenson brings the adventure to you! - we started our day at Lesedi Cultural Village with Stephenson Adventures leading the way..absolutely loved our first day in Africa. Lesedi might be a bit touristy to locals, but it was a great introduction to the vast culture that is found here, and we have the chance to understand some of the history and things that make each group unique here. Stephenson was very knowledgeable with helping us gain a better understanding of many aspects of local history and ordinary day to day life.
After Stephenson knew what we enjoyed doing, he went above and beyond to go out of his way to make our day awesome. highly recommend him for your African experience!

Interactive and interesting excursion from Joburg - The tour with Steve was a good learning experience for anyone who is interested in the indigenous tribes of South Africa. Steve's pre arrival briefing was extremely helpful in giving a heads up on the background / history of these various tribes, as well as what to expect at the village. I was able to make the most out of the tour which turned out to be a positive experience. In fact, my interaction with Steve throughout the tour was more interesting and rewarding than what I had expected when I signed up for the tour. It was a learning experience that was not limited to the South African tribes but one that extended to South Africa in general.

Entertaining and Informative - The Lesedi Cultural Village tour was entertaining and informational. Steve gave us insight into the tribes before arriving and explained how some traditional practices have been incorporated into modern living in South Africa today. On the tour you were able to see the traditional architecture and clothing of 5 tribes. A guide explained the cultural differences between each tribe as you visited each village. The tour ended with a performance and lunch during which there was live music and the opportunity to try less common meat such as crocodile. I would definitely recommend this tour with Stephenson Adventures.
