Backwards, But Still a Blast! - We spent a couple of hours on the river, coasting through gentle waters with 5 or 6 fun little rapids along the way—just enough to keep things interesting without soaking us. Our guide, Bill, was awesome—easygoing, knowledgeable, and clearly in his element. He made the trip feel relaxed, fun, and totally stress-free… for most of us.
Now, while I tried to follow Bill’s instructions, my kayak and paddle clearly had other plans. I was supposed to stay left, but my kayak thought veering right—and occasionally spinning in slow, graceful circles—was a much better idea. And a few times I even floated down backwards like I was in a lazy river parade. Thankfully, Bill was a good sport about it and kept everything lighthearted.
Midway through, we stopped at a calm section of the river for a swim and some snacks. It was the perfect break—cool, quiet, and surrounded by beautiful scenery.
All in all, it was a perfect mix of adventure, laughs, and laid-back vibes. Huge thanks to Bill for guiding us through it all with patience and good humor. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a fun and memorable day on the water!

Paddling. Paddling and more paddling. - The kayak experience was very fun
and strenuous. The whole trip is about 2 hours with a lot of padding most of the time. The sights along the way are outstanding. The guide was very informative about the mining industry that took place in Jerome.
The information about the plants and wildlife was also great. Thank you for a fun experience.

Get out on the water!! - Scott and Bill could not have been better hosts. This was our 30th wedding anniversary and we are 85 years old very first time kayaking what a blast. I would absolutely take another guided tour with Paddles and Pints the brewery did not disappoint. We had the flight and their nachos with beer cheese and jalapeños were great.
We were surprised to find out that Bill, who by the way, pulled me out of the drink three times was taking pictures and putting them up on Facebook for friends and family to view. What a guy.
If you’ve never tried kayaking, get out on the water go with Paddles and Pints

Bill took numerous pictures and will post them on facebook, he also was so informative about the nature and history around us.
Don’t miss the opportunity to get out on the water and try something old or new, make sure you go with Paddles and Pints
You receive a voucher at the end of your trip to Smelters Brewery wonderful beer and nachos.
And a GREAT BIG THANK YOU to Scott, he found my wedding ring in the bottom of the boat and returned it FANTASTIC

great time! - We had a group with various levels of ability, and it was fun for all of us. It wasn't boring for those with experience or too much for those that didn't. The guide was great and very informative as well made us feel really comfortable and safe going through each rapids. The beers at the end at Smelter brewery were the icing on the cake!!!!
