The train consists of beautifully-restored passenger coaches and open-air viewing cars, pulled by classic locomotives, traveling along the Verde River between Clarkdale and Perkinsville. Departing from the Clarkdale depot, relax on a 4-hour, 40-mile round trip featuring views of historic mining sites, geological marvels, Sinagua Indian cliff dwellings, and wildlife including bald eagles and antelope.

• Verde Canyon Railroad - Don’t miss the John Bell Museum at the depot, showcasing the railroad’s history and artifacts from its early days, along with extensive information on Clarkdale, Jerome, and the Yavapai-Apache Nation.
• Verde River - The train follows tracks laid alongside the Verde River since 1911, with the river visible for much of the journey.
