Marangu - Start your adventure at Marangu Gate with registration, then hike through the lush rainforest to reach Mandara Hut. Take a brief walk to Maundi Crater for a breathtaking view.

Mandara Hut – Horombo Hut (3,720m)

Marangu - Journey through the heath and moorland, enjoying stunning vistas of Mawenzi and Kibo peaks.

Horombo Hut – Kibo Hut (4,700m)

Marangu - Climb through the alpine desert to arrive at Kibo Hut, located at the base of the summit. Rest early in preparation for the midnight ascent.

Kibo Hut – Uhuru Peak (5,895m) – Horombo Hut

Marangu - Begin your trek around midnight, heading to Gilman’s Point (5,685m) and continuing to Uhuru Peak. After reaching the summit, descend back to Horombo Hut.

Horombo Hut – Marangu Gate – Moshi

Marangu - Make your way down through the rainforest to Marangu Gate. Collect your summit certificate and enjoy a transfer back to your hotel.
