Best Experience in CHINA with the Chef HANS and his family. - One of my most beautiful memories from this trip to China. I don’t know how to thank Hans enough. Beyond the culinary discoveries, the market, and local customs, we had the chance to meet his family and experience their generosity, discover calligraphy with his brother Roger, and share a wonderful family lunch together, thanks to the Happy Water, which made the experience even more magical.
I will carry with me, with deep emotion, the words we shared and the moments we lived together.
Hans, you are welcome in France anytime — it would be a real pleasure to host you here. You have my number.

Unforgettable experience - Great experience!
After an interesting trip to the market to buy the raw materials we cooked some very good traditional dishes.
It was fun eating together with Hans and his brother, who also gave us demonstration of his artistic skills.
I suggest to take the course in the lunch shift and go to the market on an empty stomach so as to taste the typical Yangshuo breakfast!!

An unforgettable experience💙 - It was an amazing experience! We learned a lot, laughed and ate 😉 We are welcomed with so much kindness and it is a unique and exciting sharing of culture. Between visiting the market and explaining the different ingredients, talking about drinking tea, having a very fun and informative cooking class and sharing the meal, it is a real invitation to discover Yangshuo. I will not forget this moment of sharing with this adorable family 🥰

Incredible experience! - We really enjoyed this cooking class with Hans and definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Yangshuo. It was wonderful learning to cook some local dishes, and even better getting to eat and chat with Hans’ family.

Great local Cooking Class with Hans! - Amazing time with Hans’ cooking class! Great way to learn about the local traditions of cooking, with going from the market to preparing the different delicious dishes at his home. The rice wine also was a great add-up. Would definitely recommend!

Wonderful look into local life - I will echo many of the same comments on here. Hans provides a wonderful class, but more importantly, shows you a hyper local view into Yangshuo that you can’t get otherwise. He also treats you like family and is a very kind, fun loving guy. Book this experience!
